I haven’t watched network television in years. Unless it’s a sporting event. I would imagine all of their numbers are way down.
When my television is on, I’m normally watching one of the streaming apps. I watch good movies and series. I take that back. I watched the history channel some. Still love American pickers and a few other shows.

I remember the last time I watched network news. That very same day I had to change a wheel on my covered wagon.

It's like a network suddenly decides to be more fair, and their brainwashed audience decides to abandon them because the new idea of fair coverage conflicts with their truncated worldview.
Whoda thunk?
But of course it's not the fact that brainwashed liberals don't like their narrative challenged and more conservatives than ever have completely abandoned mainstream media. That couldn't have had anything to do with this at all.

The transition is going to be painful.
It's like no one was taught ECON.
People take brand loyalty for granted and they are trying to completely rebrand.
Legacy media is dying anyway, but I think there is a place for a few.

Oh I don't doubt that the ratings are down. I'm not surprised at that, considering how left-leaning the CBS viewership is. It's going to get worse before it gets better, because abandoning the whole slavish woke approach is going to drive the hivemind away. But the whole point was to earn the trust of middle America again in the hopes that CBS can have an audience a bit more balanced than they do now, and that's going to take time. My mockery is about the DB's tone, specifically. The notion that this is some sort of disaster and that CBS is MAGA. It's the kind of nonsense that Jacobin or Jezebel would write. And that's why it doesn't bother me, as Jonah Goldberg once put it, "Nobody serious reads the Daily Beast".

I can’t remember the last time I watched the evening news? Had to be around the Covid lockdown, it’s been years.

It's a bit like a rapist proposing to their victim.

No. I’m telling you that if Dan Rather was there and the ratings were collapsing that it would be good. Tony is not like Dan.
