Please tell me how you conclude the POTUS authorized this campaign just to remove Maduro. The most powerful battle group in the world is about to engage the cartels. Boats are getting wiped out in the Caribbean and the Pacific.

Deploying a freaking carrier group to fight smugglers in fishing boats is crazy overkill. Everybody can see this is mainly to get Maduro out. Venezuela is way too important for US interests in this hemisphere to leave that marxist clown in control.
