It was for the most part voters here in Orleans and southwest Louisiana who gifted us with two stints of John Bel.

I appreciate a real poll. One not paid for by a candidate. Go Jeff

Back when I lived there, it was still jungle primaries where democrats could vote in the (R) primary. If that's still the case, I'd blame that rather than turnout. Even 20 years ago the news would report on democrats submarining any actual conservative (R) from getting the nomination.

Cool comment. I guess you thought you'd get lots of pats on the back for it. Kinda makes you look like an idiot.

Never underestimate the sewer pot known as New Orleans to find more dead people to vote.
North La doesn’t mess up the state, Nasty New Orleans does!!

You do realize those northern blue parishes barely have any people in them right? And the majority of them are black
Maybe 1000 people vote in tensas

And because "their guy" didn't get the GOP nomination, Edwards won re-election. I'm not saying Rispone was a good candidate, but in a solid red state like Louisiana, it's pretty embarrassing to have to suffer through Democrat governors because a segment of the state is petty.

If you actually think the small % of northern LA Republican that didn’t go vote mattered then you don’t know shite about state politics
Jbe won the majority black parishes in north LA like dems usually do

Nobody knew who JBE even was, the blacks thought he was Edwin’s son, then he won

Well the northern Louisiana crowd didn’t get their guy up against JBE because Rispone beat him. So they stayed home out of “protest”. And proceeded to have JBE during covid. Thanks guys

Orleans is always in the bag for a D candidate... that's like saying California gave us Biden

there is no (R) primary. All candidates run in one open primary

That is a thoroughly thought out position on the issues and positions of candidates, and potential outcomes for one's personal financial condition.

Oh wait, it's Louisiana. My daddy voted for his daddy rules.
