I used to vote mostly republican but would, from time to time, vote for a democrat here and there. After the last three years I vote strictly republican no matter what. I vote to send a message now.

If we're being honest here, RIspone has run a very mediocre campaign in the runoff. Not poor enough to lose it but not good enough to be absolutley running away with it in a red state against one of the worst Governors in America who voted for Obama and Hillary.
There has been so many missed messaging opportunities like the airport traffic mess in New Orleans; Rispone should be hanging that around JBE's neck who waited until this year to sign the contract for the flyover ramps.
Rispone literally waited days to debunk the fear mongering JBE was doing about the homestead exemption.
If he had ran a good campaign that took advantage of messaging opportunities instead of being about Trump all all the time, they would not have had to go negative against Abraham to get into the runoff. And Abraham had no money while Rispone had millions for comparisons sake.
Also, why the hell does Rispone not have Abraham in videos and out there stumping for him?
It's so goddamn frustrating because Louisiana needs JBE gone. Rispone may win but it won't be the humiliating and crushing landslide that JBE so very much deserves.

I'm not so sure he's "run" a campaign at all.
All the heavy lifting has been done by Trump and outside groups.
It's like Rispone is running the prevent defense with a tie game with 10 min left in the 4th quarter. And the few "I'm with Trump" commercials he's cut are basically Les Miles type dive run plays. Everyone knows to expect that and it's effectiveness has run out.
I'll take an unknown Rispone over a known JBE any day... but I'm losing faith in Rispone's abilities to govern. I find it hard to believe that he is this hands off with his companies.

Rispone had a really great ad with his daughter vouching for him running in Jefferson Parish and now it's off the air? WTF? Jefferson Parish is a battleground parish and I'm absolutely floored and confused as hell as to why that place is being ignored. JBE carried that parish in the primary and if he carries it again, JBE stands a very good chance of winning the election.
John Kennedy had a great line at the rally last weekend with "happy with crappy" and it just made me scream in frustration.
If Kennedy was the candidate, JBE would be headed towards a crushing defeat as Louisiana likes to vote for entertaining candidates that know how to deliver punch lines.
Policy wise, Rispone is a great candidate and has the potential to be a great Governor but campaign wise, he's very mediocre and that's a very dangerous thing to be going up against an incumbent Governor who is polling high 40s.
