I would be surprised if Stefanski doesn't post on here. He is a big LSU guy and is very nice. We were acquaintances in law school bc I was good friends with his sister.

Is he? That would definitely be disappointing if true.

I watched Scalise turn into one before my own eyes. I had a front row seat.

Murrill is Jeff’s second in command and has worked on a lot of the lawsuits he’s filed against the Fed. I would think she keeps the status quo he started if she wins. Don’t know much about the other two.

I feel like Maley is always running for AG. I thought he was a Democrat?

Liz Murrill was my law school legal writing teacher. She is smart but she’s not very charismatic. She is the brains behind Landry’s various lawsuits against the Biden admin (Twitter/vaccines, etc). Of the 3 I would suspect she’s the most “conservative”. I can’t say I’d drink rose’ all day with her - but of the 3 I’d say she’s most qualified, albeit nerdy with
somewhat of a cardboard personality. If Landry wins governor it would be good that she’s been his solicitor general. She’d be a natural legal advocate for his policies. Plus somehow they get along if they work together already (which is sometimes a challenge with Landry).

Weren’t the Stefanskis law partners with Edwin Edwards? I don’t know John at all and I think he would be quite young for the role if he’s 36. All that said, I do hear he’s a nice guy - but I know nothing about his politics. Has he been an effective rep?

Marty is very conservative. Great guy. I know him personally. Former prosecutor pro gun small gov kind of guy. But I think Liz has big money backing from her time at AG and ties to Landry so going to be tough for Marty to get message out with limited fund raising

Maley is a great dude but I just don’t think he’s got the brain power to be a good Attorney General. That’s basically what he is - a good old country boy trying to get into politics.

Murrell may be the best candidate for the job. She has a lot of experience and has been on the front lines for quite a while now. She may even be more qualified for the job than Landry was at this stage.

That’s an understatement.

Landry had practically no experience trying cases or even practicing law when he decided to run for AG.

Likely the least qualified candidate for the position in Louisiana or otherwise when elected.
