Dr Carson has written six best-selling books so many of his views are probably out there in print.
I am sure that we will be hearing about his political views now that he has all but announced he is running for Prez.
I think Dr Carson made many of this views at the 2013 National Prayer Breakfast. The little muzzie boy was not too amused to say the least.
I won't hold him to every thought he expresses in his book, but if his family received subsidies growing up that would be a fact that would fly in the face of his current belief that subsidies hinder motivation.
I do want to see a bit beyond that. On a similar note I would like to see a number of relatively smart people who are used to the spotlight (pre-req for the position) interviewed to become a candidate. Mark Cuban would be a favorite of mine.

ONE NATION: What we can all do to save Americ's future
Saving our future
Causes of disunity and decline
Political correctness
Elitism
Ignorance and forgetfulness
Bigotry
No winners in political fighting
Enslaving our children-dont sell the future
SOLUTIONS
Pushing back
Respectful disagreement
The art of compromise
Becoming informed
Wisdom and Knowledge
My brother's keeper
Who we are
Without a vision
Role models
The origin of morality
Take courage
This is a link to Dr. Carson's newest book of which I have about 20 pages left. He is not part of the GOP and has been registered as independent for some time. He explains with clarity his views and why they formed during his lifetime in the book. The challenge is for any of you to pick it up and be inspired. He is compassionate with regards to peoples hardships but believes in a system that does not take away a man's drive.

I am always amazed at the low levels statists will stoop to.

I'm pretty sure the republicans objections to Obama are policy related and related to his incompetence in his job.
Your opposition to Palin is that she is a woman who got a lot of publicity in the 08 campaign.
Palin is not close to being as stupid as Pelosi or a couple dozen other esteemed DEM congresswomen. And she is not nearly the bitch that Pelosi or Hillary are.
In fact, I cannot recall a single bitchy thing she has done. So please inform us of your basis for calling her a bitch.

As a whole, they probably are. Depending on the metric used, maybe not orthopaedic or plastic surgeons, but definitely general surgeons (I'm talking overall; of course there will always be exceptions).

Oh wait! Since things didn't go as we planned, let's form a new Church. That's all I really need.

Does logic escape everyone on this board??? That is not what I said. To believe that every kid in the early 20th century got glasses when they needed them would be a total denial. Now, would "cute little Carson" have gotten glasses without government assistance, who knows? One could reason that his mother could have gotten them by some other means. However, one could also say that in many cases government assistance since the middle of the 20th Century has provided glasses for some kids who may have not had them otherwise.

IMO, not being a career politician is a GOOD thing for President. I hate career politicians because they are already bought by lobbyists. I like guys like Carson who aren't part of the system and might be more in touch with everyday Americans. He can surround himself with good personnel to help with the job as President.

I can see from cover jacket that he has doubled down on his opposition to ObamaCare, saying that it "threatens our health, liberty, and financial future."

I would not do Dr Carson justice by trying to reproduce his ideas. Briefly, he recognizes the difficulty that people find themselves in as well as the overall health of our countries debt. It will take great thought and actions to get us out of this mess. He welcomes discussion and opposing views. There must be compromise on bother ends for us to come together.
Read the book. That is the challenge.

Is there anything on these in his book? If it is all about telling people to communicate then it really isn't worth the read.

His solution to the health care crisis is for all citizens to have health savings accounts in which money could be put in yearly tax free. This money would be essentially a savings account for all monies not used. This would put the responsibility of medical care back to the individual. The money in the account could be passed down to family members if a person died. Therefore, the 90 yo who needs a pacemaker can decide as to whether or not spending 8,000 was worth it or if she would rather her children get the benefit. For those that are truly impoverished, the government would place the money in there for them. This takes out a 3rd party payer and gives the individual "chips" in the game.
Posted on 8/3/14 at 10:43 am to lsusaintsfan4life
With regards to taxation, he promotes an equal % tax on everyone above a certain poverty limit. We are all citizens and should have "chips" in the game as it makes us care. If you make 20,000 you pay 2,000. If you make 10 billion, you pay 1 billion.
For those that say it isn't fair, the man just paid 1 billion dollars!!! We all need to care.
