WTF does this even mean? The correction IS the "massive sell off". You fricking idiot.

There has been quite a bit of nonsense in this thread.

The lib left won't endanger their own money, profits, or stock. Not even for TDS.

The one counter-scenario would be Bernie as the Dem nominee staying close enough in the polls to spook the markets.

It is definitely killing car sales in China, which means US, Japan, Korea and European OEMs will get hurt. Big ripple effects.

China car sales plunge 92%

Considering that their market is about as big as ours this is huge. Not only that their customers can't get to dealerships, their workers can't make the parts and vehicles. Much of the supply chain also originates outside of China.

It's going to leave a mark.

Buckeye, ever notice that they never respond when you bring up the coronavirus data from nations other than China. Why aren’t places like japan reporting alarming data if it’s as bad as the conspiracy theorists say?
I have noticed this, but like any other conspiracy theory with little to no evidence to support it, I’ve seen the goalposts move.

Now we’re at the stage where it’s a “bio weapon” targeted at Asian males, which is convenient since China had a disproportionate # of males and is obviously an Asian country.

I’m sure that if/when other Asian nations have figures that don’t support this, they’ll move the goal posts again (e.g., it’s a weapon that targets some ethnic/genetic specific trait that impacts Chinese males).

Do y’all think there is some castle somewhere where Druidic figures secretly control everything? Markets don’t work like that.

Not going to say my source,

Because you don’t have one or don’t have one who has any true insider information.

The death rate is far higher than what’s being reported, and it’s thought that it has been modified to make it more easily spread.

Never mind. Your source is some random comedian/actor on twitter, who posted this very thing 4 weeks ago, and has continues to just make up a bunch of stuff since he got a lot of attention.

I don't know if he has a source or not.

However, based on the fact that the legitimacy of the numbers reported are being scrutinized, and when considering the actions being taken globally as well as the warnings being issued by the WHO, we should all give pause for concern.

It's not that far fetched believing this is more perilous than we are led to believe.

No one cares anymore about coronavirus
Tell that to the folks in Italy whose tourism economy is going to tank because of the massive outbreak over there. This is usually the best time of the year for their tourism industry, Easter, Springtime. All of a sudden, there is an outbreak. This virus has been weaponized and is probably being used to kill the economy as a weapon against Trump's reelection campaign. I expect outbreaks here in the US beginning in the early fall accompanied by mainstream media 24/7 propaganda encouraging mass panic and business disruptions. They want to depress voter turnout so they can steal another election and they don't care how many folks have to die for them to get what they want.

Aside from that, there’s nothing physically in the way to prevent economic growth. People have jobs and more money. People are spending that money. Companies are making profits and hiring more people. Etc etc. And there’s nothing imminent that’s disrupting that cycle.
When people lock themselves inside their homes to avoid crowds, etc and businesses and schools shut down to prevent the spread of this virus, the flow of commerce comes to a complete stop. This will completely destroy the stock market and the economy that supports it. "They" have initiated their plan, first in China, where many of the products we purchase are made, or are a part of, then, it appears, in Iran, and more recently, Italy. They intend to take this nation down and you'll see their efforts with your own eyes as the election itself approaches. They want us scared of crowds which will diminish the vote to the point where they can steal another election. They want us dissatisfied with the economy, Trump's biggest achievement. They want us dead. Wake up.

China and a lot of the rest of the world, but nobody is going to want a demprog to lead us through the likely pandemic and its economic fall out.

Trump is the problem solver. The dems are just problem makers.

You are correct. Where you are wrong is thinking enough of these voters will be willing to risk their health enough to go to the crowded polls on election day and touch a button that thousands of others have just touched in order to overcome the cheating margin already cooked into the books for the Democrats.

Really? Here's a quote today from Iran...

Iran’s Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Sunday accused foreign media of trying to use the deadly outbreak in Iran to “discourage” people from voting in a general election.

“This negative propaganda began a few months ago and grew larger approaching the election and in the past two days, under the pretext of an illness and a virus, their media did not miss the slightest opportunity to discourage people from voting,” said Khamenei.

Looks like it's happening in Iran as we speak. Don't think it can't happen here.

Just a handful who definitely could influence the Stock Market just by Pulling their Trillion dollars out and putting it into bonds for 30 days. Not really lose anything other than transaction costs which after the market crash they could make up buying on the cheap and waiting for a rise again.
let them try this shite with Bernie as the nominee
