Yes it does but it comes to a crashing halt at 30. That would suck.

Is that not generally the case?

If world population continues to explode and mass collectivism takes over, don't be surprised if this happens.

Socialist and Communists don't believe in individual rights.

When did the Morlocks come up to eat the adults in The Time Machine?

Can't remember what the cutoff was.

Italy hasn't done so yet.

If they run out of ventilators they said it will happen.

I would suppose that they will run out of ventilators soon however...

Relative to the current pandemic, if our health system is overwhelmed and ventilators are in short supply, you don't think our system (or any rational system) will triage and make difficult calls on who does and who does not get care?

People are extrapolating forward.

80+ year olds consume way, way more resources than they contribute, always, not just in emergencies.

It's not THAT crazy of an idea to suggest that one day a collectivist society might just deem 80+ year olds not worth it period.

Isn't that the norm for socialized healthcare systems??

Obamacare, for those that gladly excepted the government to now decide if you live or die, congratulations. The bill that needed to pass without anyone reading it is the gift that will keep on giving. You are basically a used care now, dented with too many miles, totaled! It’s amazing how many people only focused on the cost, are the distraction of actually signing up. This bill will always be fixed by more government and never totally eradicated.

So triaging, a common, timeless practice in scarce resource situations, being brought up relative to a healthcare disaster in Italy is a logical spring board for your possible-future rant? JFC.
