Feelings? You are the one driven by feelings. It is not the job of the National Guard to police Americans. I live in New Orleans. I saw my first dead body when someone was gunned down on my street eight years ago. I work with people who have felony convictions every single day. I understand crime better than most people on this website.
Even with my background, I do not support the military policing American streets. This is supposed to be the land of the free. Public safety matters, but it doesn’t Trump civil liberties. A temporary statistical dip does not justify normalizing military presence in domestic policing. Militarizing everyday life in the name of safety is about as unAmerican as it gets.

That we will be under military control when its just big cities that need this
Chicago, Philly, NYC, Boston, Miami, LA, San Fran etc and our fricking capital which 1000% should be militaried up especially during the holidays

No one seemd bothered by it

I think NG should be used for emergencies, like riots. Permanent occupation for high crime levels doesn't seem sustainable or healthy, but whatever.
