And I’m telling you the implication is that they don’t need help.

And I’m telling you that even if “Temu Trump” had ordered the Louisiana national guard to Texas the moment this happened, they would only be showing up at the Guadalupe right about now. And that’s being optimistic.

After my family lost everything in a flood, I was very grateful for the people who came to aid our community from around the country. Forgive me for thinking other people who lost everything in a flood might appreciate the same.

I’m quite certain that the majority of the help you received came from from good hearted volunteers, not some random state’s national guard. Just as I’m certain these people in Texas will receive the same. Instead of whining about the governor on the internet to a bunch of strangers perhaps you could head that way and lend a hand. You’re on summer break after all.

You must realize how many here rush to see the melts and copes when the right “wins” or the left “loses”? There are shitty people on both sides who take glee in others suffering. Stop acting so sanctimonious.

There are multiple posts on page one literally admitting to doing the same thing for the LA wildfires.

Actual weather experts are telling you to your face that this had nothing to do with warning systems failing. Why are you ignoring them?

Because no one cares. We live in a soulless world where every event and story is grist for the narrative mill.

In the last 6 months or so, conservative news ecosystems have:

1. Blamed a mid air collision in DC on DEI hiring practices.

2. Claimed the bourbon street terrorist was drove across our open border.

3. Labeled the Minnesota political assassin as a far left winger.

The only game in town is being first to the door with your spin and narrative.

All we can do is swallow the spin and hope the world quickly moves on instead of allowing an Alex Jones to harass the victims as fake crisis actors for the next decade.

And now y’all are trying to have some major gotcha moment because you claim Texas doesn’t need any more help and you’re trying to paint me as some ill will wisher for thinking people could use some more help.

Oh, just shut the frick up.

You saw an opportunity to take a shot at Jeff Landry (who, btw, I don’t like anymore than you do) and then tried to downplay it when you got called out. Just fricking own it.

You think you’re being clever when the reality is, you’re just too stupid to realize you’re not fooling anyone.

You are very good at getting attention, I'll give you that.

It's also rather sad and pathetic.

I pity any man who has to interact with you in real life. Passive aggressive bitchiness with a veneer of deniability. Super attractive.

If we split this country down the middle and said conservatives on the right progressives on the left, how do you think the two countries would be doing, comparatively, in twenty years?

The people on this board that think they're conservative are just as easily swayed and are as simple-minded as 4cubbies

most repeat a narrative that they don't understand past the sound bites and X accounts they can share

I vote every election cycle for harsher gun restrictions, better govt oversight, more govt funding, more climate control measures, etc. I never vote for innocent kids dying. What does the GOP ticket have in place that specifically puts non fetuses first? You can’t vote for someone that promises to destroy everything, and support the it. And when it happens, and it actually as bad as people said it would be, back track and say that’s not what you voted for. It’s exactly what you voted for. Own it. People like me will never let you leave it down. You don’t deserve it. You have blood on your hands
