This would be a good start. When DOGE uncovered what they did, it seems like we were funding the entire world. Stopping 100% of that would free up a lot of money.

If we pay the exact same amount we pay right now, would that fund it
Probably.
Of course then we get doctors with daily patient quotas and they will not go over it. Rest assured, these quotas are pretty low. Many times as low as 5 patients/day.

Will a new generation of doctors accept .50 cents on a dollar as compensation from the government.
Doctors and Facilities currently collect about 1.5x Medicare rates for the same service under private insurance. Offer Medicare as a competing plan at 75% of private insurance cost to consumers, and tell providers and hospitals to take it or leave it. That is the "plan."
Most hospitals would have little choice but to accept it. In turn, anyone practicing at those facilities would also have to accept medicare. As the law says providers cannot pick and choose between medicare patients/services accepted, those providers would have to accept medicare in their private practices as well.
The US would be left with a public (medicare) vs private schism in care offerings. Concierge practices would multiply. Private, nonmedicare facilities/hospitals would pop up. The US would be left with a two-tiered system similar to the UK's NHS, where those who can afford private care get to skip the line, and are attended to by top doctors. The rest of the populace would be gradually herded into a VA quality system.

It actually can work… I’ll explain best I can in text.

Leftist don’t really want to provide healthcare “for all,”…. it’s just a stepping stone. Our Congress men and women have their own elite healthcare plan. “For me, not for thee”
Just look at UK or Canada to see how westernized socialism manages the healthcare system ….. poorly by any definition.

I think this may be the biggest obstacle

F. Socialize Healthcare in most country takes months to see a doctor and even longer to get a MRI or see a Specialist. How will they overcome that ?
This as an argument against single payor always cracks me up. Currently it’s a 2+ month wait to get in as a new patient at both my PCP and dermatologist. The field of cardiology is weighed down with an uptick in cardio issues and not enough docs in the field (not for lack of interest, but they need to provide more residencies), so those new patient appointments book months out. We allegedly have access to all of these docs at the snap of our fingers via private pay yet we are extremely unhealthy as a country.

Jonathan Gruber openly admitted that ObamaCare was always a lie, then boasted about how stupid Americans were that they actually bought into it.
