Those are some shitty accountants. They pay 40% of all income tax. How much more would you like for them to contribute?

Even if you simplify the tax code and get rid of all tax write offs, the wealthy will still play a ridiculously disproportionate percentage of the overall federal incone tax - even if everybody paid the same tax rate, which they don't. The wealthy pay a substantially higher rate. Now if you want to tax capital gains like earned income, good luck. Watch your 401(k) bottom out and one guess who gets hurt worse in that scenario. Not "The Man", but the little man.

Ever heard of the EIC & Child Tax Credit?
Those are loopholes that not only zero out their tax burden it fricking "pays" them.
Let's get rid of ALL deductions and credits, individuals pay a tax on gross income and companies pay on gross receipts.
When everyone starts paying income taxes, I "might" start worrying about what wealthy people pay.

Reduce? Hell, just keep it the same every year and the left calls it draconian cuts that starve the poor.
Bingo.
Only in government world is reducing a proposed spending increase from 6% to 2% a "spending cut". Plus, it's considered a "draconian cut".

It sounds like a lot, until one realizes how much wealth is consolidated among the top .1 percent

That’s a lot of word salad to state that you agree that without people corporations didn’t exist and levying taxes on corporations is to levy taxes against the individuals that comprise the corporation.
Plenty of things can't exist without humans but it doesn't make them human....

The wealth distribution is getting worse and worse each year. No one wants to hear it, but the people on the bottom aren’t making enough, and the people at the top are making too much.
If taxation is the only way to even that up, so be it. It’s not in anyone’s best interest to have the poor sinking lower and lower. If you go to places like Scandinavia or Western Europe, the people at the bottom have it way better. And there will always be a bottom.
The further down the bottom sinks, the closer we get to a massive upheaval.
ETA: I’m not a liberal. I’m just a realist.

The Republican party seriously has average people willing to defend million and billionaires to the death. The same people who would consider them a fricking peasant

I do internal operation project calcs and if i reduce your hiring plan for the next 5 years so you can maintain current levels but expand revenue that 100% would count as a cost savings program at a corporation.

They pay 20% of income taxes.
You’ve got a lot of envy. You can take away all the wealth of the 1% and still not cover the proposed spending bill.
Break open your piggy bank, average folks.
