Freud's view on this matter is complex and in fact his later works actually draw the conclusion that homosexuality is extremely difficult if not impossible to change. I suspect you are pointing to his works where he theorizes that every human is innately bisexual. This is really the only logical argument you could make that it is a choice and if you agree and think you could choose homosexuality tomorrow and enjoy sleeping with men then ok but I doubt it.

Additionally, Freud later draws the conclusion that homosexuality is virtually impossible to change saying "in general to undertake to convert a fully developed homosexual into a heterosexual does not offer much more prospect of success than the reverse."

Also you can read Freud's letter in 1935 to the mother of a gay son where he states that there is nothing wrong with being gay and that treatment is unlikely to change him.

Not all members of the LGBT community are liberal, nor do they all wish to be in the limelight. Many share your conservative values, but their voices go unheard or otherwise ignored because they don’t fit the left’s stereotypes.

I saw that American Idol (not much else on) and I really felt sorry for that kid. He definitely appeared to need professional help and the Mom seemed caring but very lost.

We have a generation just reaching adulthood that’s gone it’s entire life where all the media and entertainment they are exposed to trying to not only normalize but also actively promote the LGBT agenda. Couple that with the rising numbers of single mothers raising kids and you get a society heading to hell in an hand basket.
