youtube video of his congressional ad

quote:

I’ve had enough of Democrats and Republicans talking past each other on gun control as kids, schools and communities pay the price in blood. That’s why I’ve worked with my team to develop a plan for active school defense measures. We absolutely need to fix America's gun problem, but that might take a while. Let's stop talking and start doing. We can protect students and teachers today. No solution is perfect, but this will save lives.

Pepper spray would work but how would you decide who is going to die spraying it?

Pepper spray sucks.

He looks like a rat. He didn't have to say a word for me to not like him.

People who think pepper spray is a reliable self-defense tool to use in an active shooter situation have been fooled or are willfully putting themselves or others in danger.

1) Pepper spray is easily defeated by a mask/barrier
2) Some people don't have a strong reaction to pepper spray and aren't incapacitated by it
3) The victim has to be in very close proximity to the attacker in order for pepper spray to be effective and when you're tangling with a gunman, close proximity is not your friend
4) The victim can become as incapacitated by the spray as the attacker if it is either not used effectively or if sprayed into the wind while outside

Pepper spray can be better than nothing but at the end of the day it is just a tool. Guns are more reliable tools for self defense when dealing with someone trying to kill you.

I’ve been shot right in my face with LEO grade OC during training. It was the worst pain I’ve ever experienced in my life. It would work if somehow the shooter could get hit with it. I would describe it as having your face put ina deep fryer. It’s horrible.

OC is in my opinion something that Hitler would have loved.

That guy is a giant puss. Pepper spray sucks yes, but I have seen guys go through worse and keep firing. Plus what happens when the shooter just closes his burning eyes and spray bullets everywhere?

This is a stupid arse idea.

Hi, I'm Levi and I want us to use non-lethal weapons in a lethal weapon situation.

We should only arm our troops and cops with pepper spray as well. The world will be a much happier place after they wash their eyes out and everyone hugs.

I watched the video. This has to be a joke right? A parody of liberal political campaign video. It's just too stereotypically funny not to be. Some wiener who almost assuredly got picked on in HS proposing fricking pepper spray as THE weapon to stop a gun-wielding maniac. He then sprays himself in the face with it to show how effective it would be.

No law enforcement agency - in the world - in history - teaches that a non-lethal response is appropriate to lethal force. It would only be the option if there were no other, more effective (i.e. lethal) options available.
