First and foremost, I hope we’re learning it’s best to reform institutions rather than just throw them away. Bloated, too much red tape, union folks milking paychecks, bureaucrats, etc, etc….all true. But those institutions have helped keep us the greatest fricking country on Earth for a long time. We need SERIOUS people to propose and implement reforms.

Term limits

Repeal Citizens United. I don’t give a shite which side they’re contributing to, we’ve got to bring the oligarchs back down to Earth. Get rid of the dumb superpacs and their dark money. We should have publicly financed elections or some some sort of enforceable cap on what can be spent.

Outlaw congressional investments. You want to serve in Congress? Cool…put every penny you own in treasuries then we’ll seat you. When you decide to leave, we can take your money and invest again.

We have to do something about generational welfare and other abuses of the system, to include corporate subsidies. Both welfare and subsidies are necessary, neither should be permanent and neither should go without an annual audit/review before maintaining funding.

Debt is about to be one big arse problem. It already is, but it will soon start impacting us in terrifying ways if we don’t get serious about reducing it. Everything should be on the table….here’s where a term-limited, non-investing Congress steps in to, ya know, actually govern with purpose and foresight.

There is a term in argumentation theory: ALL CASE...NO PLAN.
You...'This is bad, that is bad, everything is bad.'
Opponent...'OK, So what do we do?'
You..'Uh, I dunno???'

I think there have been lots of comments on how the left is active today in here. I think many of us progressively minded people don’t even choose to engage a lot because it’s just immediate name calling. Not a hurt feelings issue but we are just tired of the immature circular things that happen here.

I say all that because that’s what MAGA wants. And even those who are anti MAGA do the same. It’s become pointless to have real debate

Trump doesn't suck. He's our only hope.
Yes, our government sucks. We the people are responsible for this. We the people vote for our congressional representation. Look in the mirror.

The govt has always been broken

Remember when a prez killed 600,000 of hos citizens to free people that he said several times he didnt really want to turn loose in his country?

Thats what I call broken

What we are seeing today in Clinton getting their people in and Bush not doing anything to reverse it. Then Obama kicked it into overdrive. And they tried to kill Trump to keep him from undoing it

In 2016 we were supposed to choose between Jeb and Hillary and go about our business as the commies siphoned off everything left for American people.

Donald Trump waded into the muck and started throwing hay makers. The commies on both sides went absolutely bananas and exposed their cards. Nobody, and I do mean nobody, ever had the competence and courage to take these a-holes on.

We are nearly 10 years in and anyone who cannot see this as a battle of good versus evil is of the latter.

This- Trump means well, but his own Party tries to backstab him on every issue. Repub Party is counting down the days until he is out of office for good, so they can go back to speaking harshly about the Dems, all the while they kiss their arse and pass everything the Dems request!
