They don't want people eating beef.

That's one way to put a stop to it.

We will be eating beans and lentils for a protein source.

Ate at Mellow Mushroom today for lunch. They were out of Abita Root Bear because their distributor couldn't get any. I was so very disappointed.

I'm glad we stocked up on meat the other week. Will keep a full freezer in case prices get totally outrageous.

People need to learn to buy a cow from a farmer and cut it up or have it cut for them. Vacuum seal it and freeze.

We don’t need food processors. It’s just a convenience

When was the last time you saw $152 price tag on meat?

2 thin cut steaks were $45.

Boneless skinless chicken breast was over $20 for a small pack.

Even the department mgr said this was the highest he's ever seen it.

I was going to ask the same thing. I do feel like we are headed for a rough patch. Some aisles at stores are very thin, and they are faking it by adding many facings of what is available.

The biggest thing I worry about is being stuck with the damn city of Atlanta between us and getting to the farm.

They told us they won't discount, they throw it away.

It's a clown world.

Canned meat, ammo, any type of protein that has a long shelf life, make sure you have the ability to grill if power goes out, ammo, medical supplies (first aid type stuff), water purification, did I say ammo, you know, for hunting.

It’s not near that high here. Last week I got 2 ribeyes for 13.50/lb and chicken breasts were 9 dollars a small pack at wal mart

I paid that for family pack rib-eye. I also sold a load of butcher cows for $1.40 so either the packer is a crook or the grocers are gouging like a motherfricker, or both.

Oldest kid has a bad stomach virus so I went by Dollar General on the way home to grab some kids pepto. There medicine isle was almost empty. Maybe 10% stocked.

I asked why, they said DG can’t get enough drivers to make deliveries to stores.

Tough times are a coming.
