That we're hardly united right now. Do you disagree?

This is exactly why I won't be voting in any upcoming election for as long as I'm on this earth.

Hate to be "That guy" to say this but when you take that stance you become irrelevant. You become especially irrelevant in a forum like this when you don't vote because your opinion becomes extremely irrelevant.

No, I don't disagree. I see the dynamic differently though. Trump isn't dividing more people...I actually think people are uniting, and I think he helps expose the divisions of people who, before Trump, could hide their positions. Light is the best disinfectant. After the slimy life long anti American Communist Obama regime, one side was already "divided" from the culture and political direction that they were almost accepting defeat. Trump come along and says "Screw that....lets just grab 'em by the pussy".

I don't think he's evil, and he had potential to get some things done. So far however, he's been an incompetent idiot, who can't control his mouth or Twitter fingers.

I think while he's not a perfect man and not articulate and disciplined enough as I would like, I truly admire his adamant refusal to back down when he knows for a fact that he's right and differentiates himself from the spineless cowards that populate the GOP today. He's the best weapon we have against political correctness today and the republicans that still bow down to it today.

I also admire him for his restraint in foreign policy and completely rebuking the disastrous war monger foreign policy of Bush 43 and conducting foreign policy in a reasonable, pragmatic and realistic way that doesn't try to force american/western values down every third world shithole like Obama and Bush did. He's no Ron Paul but he's pretty close as we can have today in the Oval Office.

I also admire him for how inclusive he ran his campaign. He didn't put people in an ideological box as liberal or conservative but instead framed the conversation as the american people against an out of touch political and punditry class. That's one big reason why he did so well in the rust belt.

THere's quite a few other things I respect him for but that's just off the top of my head.

Donald Trump is the closest thing to an independent President we've ever had.

I kind of agree with this. I think he's a crap president, but him "failing" is no good for anyone. I'd like him to be better at what he does, not to shoot off the cuff all the time, because even though some people appreciate that trait, a lot of the time it's stuff he has to take back.......or should.

I hate the tweeting, and the fact that he tweets like a middle schooler, but whatever. It is what it is. We need change in government, and I'm not convinced he is exactly the type of change we need, but I tell you what, if it causes everyone to realize that their normal BS behavior isn't wanted or needed anymore, if the GOP can actually put up a viable candidate next time...........and we don't burn up in a nuclear explosion before it happens, then lets ride it out.

I'm a Christian, and regardless of what I think of Trump, I believe he is God appointed to lead this country. To what end, no idea. But it's my obligation to continue to pray for him as he leads and to pray for our country. And keep on keeping on.

The hate that surrounds politics now is toxic and it needs to go, which means one side is going to have to take the high road and try to bridge the gap. Perfect world. But it's bad. Really bad. And it's not just the fault of one group or another.

Reasonable post.

Some things I disagree with but you have a right to that opinion.

Trump is the fricking man. He's what we needed. I voted for him basically because I knew he'd troll and make the left melt down. And because he'd blow up the SJW perpetually offended culture and kill PC.

I think he is a nightmare. A trifecta of ignorant, self absorbed and unaware. Still better than Hillary, but he is making it close

I don't think he's a buffoon, but I respect your opinion and thank you for pointing out that he's not rotten to the core like Hillary and clan.

The foolish and or evil people saying he's Hitler and blah blah blah when he's CLEARLY not realllly get under my skin.

If you don't like him, cool - but the lying about him is maddening. So thank you for being honest
