From Graham Vyse with the New Republic:

"Roy Moore’s stunning loss spells doom for Donald Trump and the Republican Party. . . Jones’s win is a crushing defeat for the president, who emerged as Moore’s biggest cheerleader in the final days of the campaign, and for Republicans in the Senate, whose margin in the chamber has narrowed to 51-49.
This is an unthinkable victory for progressives. If a pro-choice liberal like Jones can win in Alabama, one of the reddest states in the country, there’s no telling what Democrats can achieve in the 2018 midterm elections. . . Jones is proof that Democrats can compete and win anywhere, and that the backlash against Trump is massive and growing."

It took an extraordinary event for them to barely win against a terrible candidate.

He's right and the GOP conservatives continue down the path of allowing the nation to become socialists

Finally got one, this article had been written for a while just waiting on a name

Really it’s proof that if the Democrats can convince a population that a candidate is a pedo there is a slim chance that population will decide a democrat is the lesser of two evils, barely

Wasn’t trump for the other (R) not Moore? If Moore could get ~49% with his baggage (real or not) other guy (trumps guy) probably walks away with this. I don’t see how this is in any way a sign of a backlash against trump

70,000 votes across three states against a historically unpopular opponent is not exactly an ironclad victory.
