Lest We Forget - Obama Administration History of Spying on Private Citizens

It would appear that many who are skeptical of Trump's allegations of abuse of Barack Obama's Intelligence Community for political purposes want to chalk it up to bravado or showmanship from your President. While he has a flair for the dramatic, it's not outside the realm of possibility based on his administration's track record.
Knowing what we know now, sadly even the most ardent supporter must acknowledge that Trump's initial allegations in Mar. 2017 should have immediately been taken VERY seriously.

The National Security Agency and FBI violated specific civil liberty protections during the Obama administration by improperly searching and disseminating raw intelligence on Americans or failing to promptly delete unauthorized intercepts, according to newly declassified memos that provide some of the richest detail to date on the spy agencies’ ability to obey their own rules.
The memos reviewed by The Hill were publicly released on July 11 through Freedom of Information Act litigation by the American Civil Liberties Union.
They detail specific violations that the NSA or FBI disclosed to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court or the Justice Department's national security division during President Obama’s tenure between 2009 and 2016. The intelligence community isn't due to report on compliance issues for 2017, the first year under the Trump administration, until next spring.

George W Bush signed the Patriot Act that took away more of your freedoms than Obama ever dreamed of doing.
Posted on 5/22/19 at 3:25 pm to VoxDawg
And James Clapper blatantly lied in front of Congress about it

And yet the media continues to carry the left's water.

And I take profound issue with the Patriot Act, too.

Obama bashed Bush about the Patriot act during campaign, yet when he became POTUS, he extended it and gave it steroids, more than what Bush had done.

Don't forget Bush starting the spying programs and Obama didn't stop them. Also they continue to spy on us now under Trump and no one seems to care. This is one of the main reason i no longer vote for either of these parties.

George Bush built the spying program. Obama perfected it, against his political enemies.

Why do people still attempt to argue Bush vs Obama?
Isn't it clear at this point that they are basically the same POS. Only difference is the D&R by their name.

REAL Americans have never forgotten. Disgusting coastal bubble dwelling fart sniffing haters of all that is good about this country, aka, Democrats and their filthy minions of the deranged unhinged media and their low IQ rank and file echo chamber zombie sheep NPC followers just don’t care. End/Means, ya know? They can only do one thing at this point: project their ACTUAL committed sins on others who follow the constitution and rule of law.

And Obama thanks him for the assist.
Look the press at large don't care that Obama did stuff like that on fellow members of the press, they like the taste of his spunk so much so that they were all lining up to gobble it up as he abused them

someone found some anyone have the article that Obama got called out by the FISA court?

this kind of crap needs to stop.
Big government is corrupt government and nothing illustrates this more than the political use of the police powers of government.

The only way to do so is to drop a fricking anvil on the dicks of everyone involved.

jake lamotta is correct. Patriots Act---we exchanged a bit of freedom for the potential of nabbing terrorists. The government can listen to me as long as there are serious restrictions with the use of key words or key phrases to cipher out real citizens from the extremists.
listening to Trump, to catch him cheating or dealing with foreign governments is OK too...you guys do really know that his first priority is and always was Donald Trump.
Petulantly taking his football today if the bad dems didn't play nice is the true Trump. We would have no such drama today if trump plainly and simply wasn't such a dangerous prick with his own agenda that does not include US and the USA.

I hope you never say trump is hiding anything. Because that would be hypocritical.

A useful idiot who actually think this government goosestepping horse shite would never be turned against the scum he supports

How so?
I make fun of the goobers that think he is going to be led to the gallows, the same way you make fun of liberal goobers that think trump is soon to be in an orange jumpsuit.

This should be illegal, and statute of limitations should be 25 years. If convicted the person approving this type of spying "without good cause" should get 25 years per offense.
If spying on the POTUS they should get life.
