Legacy TV News Stations have to be hurting badly

I am working from home today and in the other room I have FOX News Channel on TV playing as background noise. In the past several hours, I have heard the same 5 commercials at least 20 times each.
The funny thing, the commercials are from no-name companies I have never heard of or from some fly-by-night wonder drug. I think I have heard the 1-877-Kars4Kids song at least 60 times? My ears are bleeding!
What a joke our media has turned into and I hope they are all suffering badly while the Tuckers, Glenn Becks, Megyn Kelly's, Podcasters, etc. are all laughing to the bank with their earnings.
Maybe the legacy channels should try selling pillows and reverse mortgages next!

If you want to switch it up, out on CNN for non-stop pharmaceutical commercials

Also there was a subtle little moment in time when all of a sudden there and very noticeable presence of them damned ole pop up ads. Noticeable, I say.

Fox has always struggled to get big name advertisers. They get 3 or 4 times the viewers of CNN but all they can get is Mike Lindell selling his pillows and companies trying to sell you gold.

I haven't watch news or broadcast TV for a couple of decades since Internet became a viable source. I watch Auburn games on live TV, but that about it. I really don't need some newsie to read to me when I've got the whole world to browse on my computer, pad and phone.

Isn't it strange that only big pharma pays their bills?
Fuxking uncanny

They are hurting but Foz has a very high male viewership and that's not what advertisers want.
The 30 yr old soccer mom is the #1 target everyone wants. They control the money and what gets bought.

Does anyone under 45 watch the news? I couldn't name a single person on the local news broadcast.

I love watching local news. That’s usually what I watch in the mornings. In Atlanta, they have a local show called “Good Day Atlanta” where it airs live from like 4am-11am

How many times an hour do they go over the weather and traffic?
Posted on 3/15/24 at 6:48 pm to KiwiHead
Well, in Atlanta it's indeed helpful - weather gets annoying but not nearly as annoying as 1877-Cars 4 kidz every 5 fricking minutes
Also, they do a great job stretching it out. It's not just 7 hours on repeat. It's an actual 7 hour show with cool segments about the businesses in the city, local sports, etc. They do a really nice job.
Most big cities have a local Good Day show (FOX affiliates)

The total rejection of traditional reputable media and the embrace of inverted flaky sources online is resulting is a woefully uninformed and misinformed public.

Never forget what legacy media pushed

They’ve been hurting for a really long time, where have you been? Millennials were the first generation to majorly venture away from MSM. In my opinion that’s when cable news started getting more sensationalistic, to reel people back in with attention grabbing headlines.

Go to WBRZ in Baton Rouge for non-stop ambulance chaser commercials.
