The U.S. Supreme Court dealt a blow to the Trump administration’s immigration policies, letting stand a California sanctuary law that restricts local police from helping federal authorities round up and deport people who are in the country illegally.

The justices left intact a federal appeals court decision that upheld the central part of the 2017 California law. The administration argued in its unsuccessful appeal that the measure undermines deportation efforts, violating federal immigration law and the Constitution.

You can't force local agencies to comply with laws enacted by higher bodies.

Hardly.

It's pretty obvious that the courts will rule how they wish versus what is written law.

I wonder how this ruling would be applied with Cuomo's threat to use state force against municipalities that are not enforcing his quarantine orders.

Can someone hold a Floyd protest and set up a Capitol Area Group Environment in BR?

It's now everyone for themselves. I will not defend anything else. Not your wife, your kids, your privileges.

If you need help, best be able to do it yourself.

Supreme Court declined hearing several cases today including 10 gun rights cases. Doesn't mean they ruled on them they just declined to hear them at this time..

For at least a year which is bullshite; the SCOTUS needs to set the fricking record straight on the 2nd amendment once and for all

Yep. It's funny watching these copes from conservatives.

This is a country ruled by judges. The civil rights act is the law of the land, and whites are the only group excluded from it.

and it's probably best they declined bc we likely would have gotten an anti 2A decision based on Roberts treachery.
