The report in question is not an accusation against the character of a person or entity. More accurately:

1. Federal agency warns of reported interest from terrorist groups to attack the US by some means
2. Federal agency warns of unverified interest from terrorist groups to attack the US by some means

Since the terrorist groups aren’t going to respond for comments, the functional difference between the two is negligible.

Ultimately, she’s a propaganda/PR officer and this war is unpopular so trying to minimize such reports is a vested interest of the White House I have no interest in indulging. Unlike some people here I don’t clap like a seal because the party apparatus commands it.
