The Economic Opportunity Act of 1965 was comprised of 5 titles, all attacking poverty on a different front. It was disjointed and never coordinated its priorities. It did not address poor relief directly.

Any economic welfare program has to decide: is its primary aim to support a stable work force? Or eradicate poverty.

I argue eradicating poverty is not possible, and even if it is, it’s not the role of the government.

We need a return to the majority of poor relief being the responsibility of the private sector (charity, community, etc.).

It should only be for the disabled.

When a disabled person says “I cant do X” thats not code for “I can, but it would be really hard” its a statement of fact.

worst President in history and no doubt responsible through the great society for the disappearance of two parent families among the poor.

Biden's "Bidenomics" is doomed for failure because it's run by a potato.

In many respects the "Great Society" was much like the "Green New Deal". Both premised on some highfalutin ideals, but everybody wanted in on the pork, that the end result would not achieve any improvement to society.

That trash legislation is the primary reason American society is in the "crapper" today!
It was told by a number of people present on Air Force One and heard Johnson say after it was passed, "I'll have them n*ggers voting Democrat for the next 200 years."

It had direction and did what it ss supposed to do, destroy the family unit, specifically in minority communities.

It was likely more successful in doing so than they could have imagined!

The entire plot was pure evil and the chickens have been roosting ever since!

The way poverty is defined it’s impossible to eradicate unless everyone has equal amounts of wealth.
