There is no strategy. It's a state conviction. Feds can't do anything about it, and that state isn't a Republican state. The Marxist have the upper hand.
Terrible and horrible situation, but that's the reality.

I agree. It was just weird to me that her lawyers hadn't at least game planned this with the White House.

POTUS jurisdiction to do what though? Article II confers pardon power to the President regarding only "offenses against the United States." Colorado conviction = beyond the pardon power of the President.

How many times has the federal government used its leverage to get a state to do what it wants? Are you not aware of that??? Yeesh.

oh
so you're making vague comments about federal vs state, with no correlation whatsoever to this particular case
your need to declare yourself smart is both hilarious and sad

believe Trumps team is arguing that the state charges are over a national election, so national interests are primary. This is really to expose CO as the powerless small state that it is. Likely this is an opening salvo.

God some of you people are retarded.

By making this so public, I think Trump lost whatever leverage he had. Polis can't back down now.

Also, by issuing a pardon that has no legal consequence, Trump looks like a toothless tiger.

If you're talking about the 4 page letter dated 12/12/25, yes. It's a valiant effort by a lawyer on behalf of his client.

Unfortunately, it's a meritless argument when it comes to whether or not President Trump can pardon Tina Peters for her Colorado conviction.

Nothing vague about it. You aren’t aware of the multitude of times the government has used leverage to get states to act accordingly. Ask any 18 year old in Louisiana in 1995 about it. Your ignorance does not have anything to do with me. It just means you’re ignorant.

Well….he is miles smarter than you. However he is forgetting the times state governors have very publicly done 180s after fed gov pressure is applied.

you asked "not a history buff" with no context whatsoever and then went on this unhinged rant

you not getting the reference to Feds “influencing” states to do what they want is not a me problem nor an unhinged rant. You clearly aren’t a history buff. My point continues to sail waaaaay over your head. Do you know what happened in 1995 (well really 1987 but not enforced until 1995) in Louisiana that pissed off 18-20 year olds. Especially after Louisiana said they would never change the law,…until. The feds used their leverage?
Think real hard.

Link me to a post where I call myself smart. Calling you dumb is an objective fact. At least on this topic. Ignorance is more like it. Yet you opine with such hubris from your place of complete ignorance. It’s fascinating to watch.

you aren’t even knowledgeable to the multitude of times it has happened in the past. You have no clue how this will play out. Mark it.
