As of 2017 chinese state owned firms had over 900 billion USD in assets abroad, much of that in the US.
The previous poster is correct, many law firms and countries will follow suit. Some could seize these foreign assets (so much for that belt and road initiative). And no doubt chini would retaliate by seizing US company assets at home. Would certainly put a stake in the heart of their manufacturing.
Any foreign company doing manufacturing there better GTFO now, the US govt is not responsible for them. They chose to manufacture there to enjoy cheap labor and avoid US taxes....they chose poorly.
