What do you really think you're gonna find in Trump's taxes?
I have no idea. But then that has nothing to do with what I posted.

Are you looking for his bankruptcy from the early 90's?
No. Are you?
quote:
why do you want to see Trump's taxes so bad?
I don't. Can you link to where I said I did?

But how many Republican's do you see melting...?
Plenty ITT, including you.
"TDS", indeed.

blamed most of the debt on penalties and interest
If that is close to true, that means the taxes have been unpaid for an extended amount of time.

a further explanation of her financial troubles........... She also said they had paid $60,000 toward the debt over the course of two years,
Well that sure balances out. Financial trouble is not being able to pay the mortgage and feed the family.... not having the means to pay tax in the amount of 60k you shouldn’t have anyway. That’s more than an abundance of families in her city make in a year.
quote:
City Hall employee she has taxes taken out of her paycheck.
Well that’s even more embarrassing. She didn’t short her estimates, she ramped up her exemptions to pay less tax.

Should have voted for small government conservatives so she would have had less of a tax burden over time.
Anyone who says this in a serious conversation should be immediately ignored.

But come on guys, quit bumping this embarrassment of a thread. It's only exposing your derangement.
To keep your position balanced.... why are you, your fellow Dems, and the news media not raising hell about this?
And the position taken by most libs is “Trump doesn’t pay his taxes”. Well.. you do not need his returns to find that out.. you look for recorded tax liens in the counties he has property in. If he shorts his taxes... it’s audited.. then liens are filed if not paid after notice and demand. Are there any liens? In the above case there are.

I am not, and never have been, a Democrat.
If y'all couldn't jump to conclusions, y'all wouldn't be able to post.

That's all very interesting.
Well, not really. But what does any of your post have to do with Cantrell saying the same thing about her taxes that Trump did, that they're too complicated for people to understand? You want to claim that she's taking a play from the Democratic book too?

like i stated in another thread, if my wife and i owed state taxes, and were in default like her, she would be fired from her state positions.
they could also take any state licenses she might have. dr, nurse, etc.
But politicians get to amass huge debts of state taxes and not a thing done. bullshite

Because it’s moronic. It’s not in the same realm as Trump’s. Evidently, by Cantrell’s own statements, she has withholding. This means she is a W2 employee. This means she can basically take her taxes to HR block or some other small shack of a prep place that pops up from January to April.
Trump has multiple schedules most all have never heard of, multiple income rates on specific incomes, varying level of required estimates, probably has different fiscal year ends for multiple businesses, varying expenses and tax rates for international businesses, etc. it wouldn’t be impossible for the return to be as much as 1,500 pages for an international organization.
Meanwhile, Cantrell doesn’t have anything she can even claim something as simple as depreciation on.
Now.. you can complete your response to the rest of my post.

I taught for 22 years in inner city public school in BR. Several times I witnessed teachers trading the SS number of their kids in the teacher's lounge in order to expand their exemptions. Why didn't I report it? I wanted to keep my job. Also ,I thought Reconstruction ended in New Orleans.

You should respect her decision to not explain it since it's too complicated....

You can report it anonymously. Like people from the IRS says... there’s a form for that.

I'm shocked she didn't inform us she had all the money for the IRS stashed in the freezer of the worker lunchroom in the Hard Rock Hotel and just a soon as they demolish the hotel she will pay her debt should they be able to find the freezer.
... on a side note ...
they have come across some hefty "campaign contributions" that have recently been made to her election campaign funds --- made by Hard Rock Hotel affiliates right after the Hard Rock Hotel collapse...
Hhhuuummm

What difference does it make?
Posted on 2/1/20 at 3:09 pm to Walkthedawg
... it's called "quid pro quo" New Orleans style ...
... maybe the Hard Rock Hotel site was supposed to be a parking garage there all the while ...
... that site has major historical significance for the African Community because that was the site of Woolworths lunch counter sit-in ...
... parking garage was much needed in the area
si how do you get approval for a parking garage?
... Civil War activists gave up the civil war monuments ...
... quid pro quo ...
New Orleans style ...

There were "issues" during her campaign, but she's hardly the only problem we have here.
And she's representing her hardcore constituency appropriately, and no more than what they demand.
But that leaves out the rest of us.
Some of the residents in LakeView could give an idea of the developing discontent here.
It's not her first display of fiscal irresponsibility.
She had a history of excessive use of the city charge card, but she paid the money back during her campaign.
She's straight outta Compton by way of the leftist, globalist nest some refer to as the Aspen Institute.
The previous mayor was also a "graduate" of it and spent just about all his free time there.
He was there during another of the notable S&WB failures that flooded Broad St.
At least our present mayor has expanded her horizons with junkets to Cuba, Ghana, Amsterdam.
She was supposedly in Amsterdam the morning of the Hard Rock disaster.
No word yet on how her property taxes have fared, but that's within the sole purview of Errol Williams.
When the recent outrage happened over drastically increased property taxes, the residents wanted an explanation about why taxes for one of Errol's own properties actually went down,
His answer? "Because the property was run down and in disrepair."
That's correct. No one could make this up.
Apparently, with all that has gone into the "progressive" Agenda 21 urban planning, they obviously still haven't included provisions for avoiding incompetency in those directing it.
And why Hard Rock remains the appropriate metaphor on the state of the city.

What is so complicated about explaining why you owe the federal government tax money?
Posted on 2/1/20 at 4:21 pm to WPBTiger
She pays taxes every single time, just not all of them.
Posted on 2/1/20 at 6:40 pm to WPBTiger
It probably IS too complicated for her constituents.....
