convention center being set up as temporary hospital

last 24 hours: 225 new cases in LA 2710 new tests 8.3% tested positive total cases 3540, 14 new deaths 151 deaths total

3rd most per capita cases, 2nd most per capita deaths

1000 beds at convention center by next sunday, could go higher. People transferred to convention center from hospitals who dont need ventilator or ICU

adding ICU beds across NOLA and state in hospitals

USN team coming to LA to staff medical facilities

1250 beds added in NOLA total and can surge that

JBE hinting he may extend past april 13 stay at home order

cantrell dropped a new orrrrleeeeeans first sentence and is offering nothing new in the first 5 minutes out of her mouth. she offered nothing new in 10 minutes New Orleans is so fricked.

Testing being expanded throughout the state

ventilators being requested from feds, still no approval from stockpile but hopeful

have asked for 12000 total ventilators from feds and private industry, have gotten less than 200

statewide hospital beds not yet at capacity. models say april 4/5 ventilators tapped out april 9/10 beds

That woman can’t even pronounce the city that she’s Mayor of.

And screw JBE for not even mentioning the biggest damn healthcare system in NWLA and what they’re doing.

JBE is basically sending the message that the past two weeks of staying home have not had any affect on the curve. People are going to start wondering more and more why we are doing this if there is no affect.

When one keeps pushing back dates on peak, beds, needs, etc...eventually you’ll be correct.

“In 14 days”....then seven days later....”in 14 days....

Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Rant over.
Carry on.

Hosting MG screwed out state for a long time with this. Now JBE and Destroya are fishing for that federal money.

This will be their excuse as the state will ultimately be the last to recover from this, just like anything else.

Our economy was already shite thanks to him. Now he can ride this excuse for eternity. He's not blaming Trump yet, but like Destroya, he will eventually.

From my understanding, the numbers of new positive cases per day in Louisiana, even New Orleans, are starting to decrease? Am I wrong?

JBE said there was a back log of tests that went through last week so the reduction seen is the real numbers.

Are referring to Willis Knighton? That appears to be very well-run system from the outside looking in.

Yep, only reason I figure he didn’t mention WK is cause they aren’t in the States hip pocket like Ochsners.
