They forget a Latino won Best Director 3 of the last 4 years in Caurón and Iñaritu and Del Toro up for the award this year?
It is true thae Hispanics are under-represented in the acting category, but they are well represented in other categories.

To be fair, they have more of a right to protest than blacks since blacks are overrepresented in Hollyweird according to their proportion of the population.
But this whole "more diversity in the film industry" nonsense is laughable. I work in the film industry and every newbie fresh out of film school is a white male. Ask them how many women/blacks were in their graduating class and it's always about 5%. Some sets allow SCAD students to intern and yet, they're always white males. So if 95% of the graduating classes are white males, what the frick are they supposed to do? Hire someone off the streets with no experience or set etiquette? That's a guaranteed disaster and these people have no time to babysit and train. People don't realize how stressful and nonstop film sets are so there's no time for people who don't know what the frick they're doing.
Granted I didn't study film in college either, but I did take a PA class in Atlanta (which only had ONE female and 3 blacks out of about 30 people) and interned on a few union sets so I had some knowledge and experience before getting on full time.

I demand we have more white players starting in the NBA. They are a racist league and will not allow whites to start. Whites make up 64% of the US population but less then 20% of the starters in the NBA. LETS BOYCOTT!!!!!!!!
