good to know how everyone on here thinks the police should shoot anyone that they see has a gun. I hope you feel that way if you ever carry outside your house.

Remove the gun from his holster exactly like they did. Cuff him. Check to see if he had a concealed carry permit. They could even take him in

They should have taken it.

Then one should have said hey motherfrickers, stop hitting this guy in the face with cans, back up a bit, and let me cuff this guy.

The very first agent should not have shoved the woman and instead asked both her and the man to turn around and place their hands behind their backs.

Now they’re facing long prison sentences. They were terrible at their jobs there.

Yep, definitely looks like ICE was trying to de-escalate the situation by coming across the street, pushing protesters, pepper-spraying them, then shooting a citizen.

You should take a step back for a moment. Was the guy just protesting? Or was he and were others actively disrupting what ICE was trying to do?

He was trying to help the other person up from the ground after the ICE agent assaulted the Question should have been...Why did ICE cross the road and attack citizens without provocation.

The firearm matters—and the media is hiding it. At the Minneapolis Border Patrol shooting, the suspect was armed with a SIG Sauer P320 AXG Combat, a high-capacity 9mm pistol with a threaded barrel, extended 20–21 round magazine, and a SIG Romeo optic—a setup costing $1,500–$2,000. This was not a cheap carry gun.

Officers were in a physical struggle with an armed suspect when a gun was perceived and the word “gun” was shouted. Under settled self-defense law, officers are entitled to rely on fellow officers’ reasonable perceptions. They do not have to personally confirm the threat.

Once a firearm appears during active resistance, the legal standard is simple: reasonable perception of imminent deadly force. That standard was met here. Freeze-frame activism doesn’t override real-time dynamics, and the law does not require officers to wait to be shot. This was a tragic—but lawful—use of force.

They encounter holstered guns all the time. The gun was never in his hands. It was on his hip. The gun was removed by an agent and then they blasted him.

Good point...it's hard to tell from the video. Did ICE warn them that they were actively impeding an ongoing operation or did ICE aggressively over -react to peaceful protestors filming their actions. Would love to know ground truth and what really occurred, but the DOJ will probably refuse a joint investigation again.

If you don’t want to get hit by a train, don’t stand on the railroad tracks.

There's another video of him chesting up to ice, prior to the shooting. Not sure if it was an agent that was involved in the following Trainwreck situation

These idiots are so off base, that they insert themselves into ICE operations, trying to nab a shithead, and try to come off as victims

It's ridiculous.

Go home, don't take your gun to an active ICE environment, and you won't get shot, while a bad dude goes to jail.

The left is insane. Just absolutely out to lunch

This dude would be alive if walz and Frey told them to stand down, and let them do their jobs. Instead, they egged it on.

Agree with everything except the part about long-term prison sentence. Bovino’s statement indicates he has already made up his mind. The narrative now is these guys prevented a mass shooting of ice officers.

Is that what happened? The critical thing, and I trust the officers WAY more than your lib arse, is that they reacted to a pistol being pulled. And thereby presenting a threat of endangerment,

They found a gun, yelled "gun" one guy takes it while another unloads into him. He never goes for the gun and the officers overreact to seeing a gun.

Firearms training classes will teach you that you should always immediately disclose that you’re carrying if stopped by police. Several states, including Louisiana, have laws requiring you to do so.

Minnesota doesn’t appear to have a legal requirement to disclose if you’re carrying, but doing so would likely mean that this guy would still be alive. The last thing you want is for cops to discover someone is armed while they’re in the middle of a physical struggle with the person.

Jeez - not even going to cater with a response. How do you deal with this much TDS? You may be on the top of the leaderboard.

So I got this right: Officers being harassed “overreact” to seeing a gun on someone disrupting their operations and resisting arrest?

You can’t write better irony.
