This comment is probably the best evidence I've seen that you're just a leftist loon and not actually some paid spammer, which somehow makes it more sad than if you had been paid to peddle the slop you post, often in the wee hours of the morning

I have no idea, but you brought up morality first.
Would it be moral for Musk to slow down Starlink and not give them notice? I don’t think so.

I can see why you're not a criminal attorney, your reading comprehension is a joke.

What rules did Musk violate? You can link the US Code he violated.
18 U.S. Code § 1111
You're welcome.

I would say no, but also more moral than taking something from someone without their consent because you value it.
You people want the US to invade Starlink and take out it's "government", how about we word it that way?

Murder
What Musk is doing has less legal ground in terms of murder than not giving someone CPR while they are having a heart attack, which is also not murder. Or even manslaughter, for that matter. Hope that helps!

I agree, but we’ve seen government appropriate private property to advance their interests. Usually it’s land, but not businesses.
Starlink is a private business. Maybe in war ( our war) I could go along with privatization but not in this case.

What you really should be considering is not expropriation but forced break-up into separate competing business units. SpaceX could be spun into dozens of independent companies, all with independent management in competition with each other.
Far fetched? Standard Oil on Line One.

So you read the post. Just like a big boy. Now go read up on "criminal intent". Here, I'll help you:
quote:
Criminal intent, also known as mens rea, refers to the mental state required to convict a party of a crime. Along with a criminal act, or the actus reus, criminal intent is one of the fundamental aspects of criminal law.
The specific intent required to sustain a conviction varies from crime to crime and from state to state. In states that follow the Model Penal Code (MPC) or use MPC terminology, criminal intent is split into four categories:
Acting purposely – The goal of the defendant was to cause the criminal conduct.
Acting knowingly – The defendant was practically certain that the conduct would cause a particular result
Acting recklessly – The defendant consciously disregarded a substantial and unjustified risk that the criminal conduct would occur.
Acting negligently – The defendant was not aware of the risk criminal conduct would occur but should have been aware of the risk.
quote:
A minority of states instead choose to follow common law doctrines of malice. These jurisdictions determine liability by categorizing the type of malice accompanying any given criminal action between:
Express malice – deliberate intent to bring harm to the victim.
Implied malice – Indifference to harm that a victim may suffer due to the defendant's carelessness or inattentiveness.
quote:
standard murder typically requires a party to purposefully or knowingly cause the death of another human.
Of course, these are US criminal code foundations. I don't know what the standard for conviction is in other jurisdictions... Say for instance - off the top of my head - the International Criminal Court in Den Hague. But I bet Rocket Boy is going to find out.

More media from the Proton strike today -

quote:
As a result of a rocket attack on Orel, at least one production facility of Proton PJSC has been completely destroyed.
The footage from objective control shows critical damage to one of the key production and assembly buildings of the Russian defense industry enterprise. As a result of the impact, the upper floors, roof, and facade structures of the building have completely collapsed, making it impossible to continue operating the production lines in this facility.

According to preliminary information, the site of the former Voronezh Military Aviation Engineering University (VVAIU), as well as an adjacent military aircraft parking area, came under attack.
VVAIU specialized in training military aviation engineers, technicians, and specialists in the maintenance of aviation equipment. In 2012, the institution was incorporated into the Zhukovsky and Gagarin Air Force Academy.
The extent of the damage and potential losses of aviation equipment are currently unknown.

It's not all bad news in Russia today. Rumor has it that the Ukrainian drone command is being flooded with the Geo locations of every Russian Federal Tax Service data center in the country. And all the tips are coming from inside Russia...
By the way, what are the Geo numbers for the Dallas IRS office? Asking for a friend.
