The tanker Vilamoura exploded off the coast of Libya while transporting about 1 million barrels of oil, according to the vessel's management company. Prior to the incident, the ship had called at the Russian port of Ust-Luga, Bloomberg reported.
According to maritime risk consultancy Vanguard Tech, this is the fifth explosion this year involving tankers that previously visited Russian ports.
Coincidence...?

China will help Russia build a seaport and a naval base on Lake Donuzlav in temporarily occupied Crimea, — Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.
To finally sign the agreement, the occupiers plan to invite Chinese builders to visit Crimea. Among them is China State Construction Engineering Corporation.
Well, here it is. We have talked about the rapidly disappearing Russian National Wealth Fund and predicted that as soon as it's exhausted the Chinese would be taking Russian infrastructure as payment in kind. Port facilities are always their first choice when calling in collateral. Just ask the Africans.
So now Russia has given them a port. What does that tell us? That's right, it's not hard. You run out of money, you start selling the silverware.

Trump administration just lifted sanctions on several Russian banks close to Putin.
Why would Trump do this? Well, here we go.
There is over $120 billion of confiscated Iranian funds in financial institutions globally.
A number of years ago, the Russians signed a deal with Tehran to build nuclear power stations for them. The Iranians just need the money to pay for them.
Note the "Authorizing Certain Transactions Related to Civilian Nuclear Energy" title of the sanctions release. They should have called it the "Authorizing Billions of Dollars to Support the Russian War Against Ukrainian Civilians".
Again, why would Trump do this?
Well, here's your answer:

Ukraine war latest: Russia launches largest attack of war, targeting Ukrainian regions far from front lines
quote:
Yuriy Ihnat, a spokesperson for Ukraine's Air Force, confirmed to the Associated Press that the attack had become "the most massive airstrike" since the beginning of Russia's full-scale in February 2022.
Russia's bombardments — a fact of life after three years of full-scale war — have intensified dramatically in May and June, with mass attacks becoming more frequent and more deadly.
quote:
Moscow refuses to budge on its maximalist ambitions in Ukraine and is unwilling to enter a ceasefire unless Kyiv preemptively agrees to surrender all foreign military aid. Putin on June 20 declared that "all Ukraine is ours" in a bombastic speech at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum.
quote:
Graham said on June 29 that the U.S. president was ready for the Senate to vote on a bill to impose new sanctions on Russia. Voting on the bill is expected to begin following the end of the July congressional break, Graham said.
"For the first time yesterday the president told me... he says, 'it's time to move your bill'," Graham said in an interview with ABC News, stressing that it would be Trump's purview as to whether the bill would ultimately be signed into law.

I made actual points about the conflict all the time in the Ukraine thread. They got mass downvoted because of my positions, but were rarely if ever refuted. Which seems odd... if I was wrong, you would think people who clearly don't like me would enjoy pointing it out. I've been proven right about things in Ukraine on numerous occasions. And I never did any cheerleading for either side.
And now you're here trying to play a get out of jail free card with semantics. By comparison I think you're pretty worthless and I'm actually great.

This has become a complete joke.

More wishcasting. You don’t think people on the left would selectively leak if there were damaging things about Trump related to Epstein? You clowns are so desperate.

I buy and sell process equipment up to entire plants, chemical or refineries mostly. I've worked with Russians and Ukrainians, as well as Uzbeks, Europeans but never did anything with Chinese. I bought equipment from a full scale demonstration plant for a Russian company near Houston and got to the know its head, former finance director for Gazprom. He left Gazprom and Russia in 2007 after its stupid FID to build Nordstream which was political not for making money
All of this is made up fwiw
