If CBS is broadcasting this, you know TACO has lost the narrative. Typical TACO chaos.

"... because the waivers expire on 2026-04-11."
Wanna bet? TACO will quietly extend those waivers over and over. Remember "two weeks"? This is stealth sanctions relief designed by the Kremlin and carried out by their lap dog TACO.

Even though Russian oil has been granted a brief sanctions waiver, some of the tankers involved have a long history of moving Iranian oil; and in doing so, resort to obfuscation as their first resort.
In one specific ongoing case, a Russian tanker laden with oil, departed Russia via the Black Sea in late January 2026 and then continued to the Suez, where she conducted a STS (Ship-to-Ship) transfer to a serial Iran sanctions violator.
From there, that receiving tanker then proceeded to the Pacific realm of Russia in order to feed the oil to yet another tanker.
The third tanker has now reached China. The entire process took twice as long and probably cost thrice the regular price.
Even though a waiver has been issued, the Dark Fleet isn't about to light up like a Christmas tree. The oil importers are going to continue conducting business in digital darkness because the waivers expire on 2026-04-11.

Four consecutive months of Russian losses exceeding Russian recruitment. Full mobilization? Even the Russians know this won't change anything. Not in Ukraine anyway. In Moscow... maybe.

The EU is sending a message to Hungarian voters...

"The European Union is preparing 5 scenarios in case of Orbán's victory, including a radical one"
"The European Union is considering 5 different variants of an action plan in case Orbán's party wins the parliamentary elections—possible options include changing the voting rules, limiting or suspending funding for Hungary, as well as stricter measures, including the possibility of expelling the country from the European Union"

Rep. Jim Himes: We're giving Iranians billions of $ by letting them sell oil to China, which they use to buy drones from Russia.
And, we're allowing Russia to sell oil so they can fund attacks against Ukraine and our own troops.
CBS and a Democrat spouting TDS laden "information". You must love that.
A total of 5 oil tankers have left Iran since the war started...none since March 2.
And so far as "we're allowing Russia to sell"...how much money has the EU paid Russia for oil and gas since the Ukraine war started? Should the US be sanctioning the EU for funding the Russian war effort?
quote:
Despite sanctions and steep volume cuts, Russia still earned an estimated €215 billion (about $248 billion) from gas sales to Europe during the war.
You might want to tamp down your trump hate...it makes you get off message.

So TACO didn't remove the sanctions on both Russian and Iranian oil? Or is that just more TDS?
As to the oil sales to the EU, thanks for the history lesson but my comments are based in the here and now.

Nah, if it triggers your denial, that's your problem. Once again, I suggest you stop reading my posts and stick to Fox and Friends. That way you can avoid the anxiety caused by the disconnect and maintain your arrested development comfort zone.

Recruiting for Putin's army has already become incredibly difficult. Most people now fully understand that there is no need for so many UAV operators, and news of casualties in these meat grinder assaults has spread so widely that it has become one of the reasons for the total blocking of messaging apps and social media.
The Kremlin is already prepared to launch a new wave of mobilization involving several hundred thousand slaves since the butcher-commanders of the Russian army have no intention of abandoning their sole tactic for achieving even the slightest success on the battlefield - trading lives for square meters.
quote:
"It's no secret that recruitment for the newly created unmanned systems forces (promoting posters for them now adorn every town and village) is proceeding at, to put it mildly, a rather lacklustre pace.
quote:
However, the results are not encouraging: the regions have already been “drained dry” by recruitment for contracts in the Special Military Operations zone, and today a rather specific contingent is heading there (again, to put it as delicately as possible), which, given its other characteristics, is the least suited to becoming the backbone of a new high-tech branch of the armed forces."
[Chadayev is likely to be referring to convicts and other 'social undesirables', like alcoholics, who are being rounded up and sent to Ukraine.]
quote:
Chadayev asks why people don't want to sign up to join the unmanned systems forces, and concludes that it's because "the system is offering a standard military contract."
"This leads people to the logical conclusion that no one who agrees will be immune from the so-called "transfer to the assault force," from essentially indefinite service (until the end of the war), or from other interesting aspects of service in the Russian Armed Forces.

Slash health spending to support the military budget? Where have we heard this before?
Oh yeah, it's the Hegseth budget.

You think some eurotard is going to look at that situation objectively?
Trump was trying everything he could to keep oil down as low as possible given the situation. It was about America, the only country he is responsible for the well being of.
Believe it was NYT who recently did a piece on prices at the pump, they were saying it was kind of incredible that prices stayed as "low" as they were at the time of writing given the circumstances.

Hmmm...The EU still gets 13% of it's natural gas from Russia...right now. $7+ billion dollars worth last year. They are trying to wean off it by the end of 2026...maybe 2027 but what's another $14 billion to Russia to continue their war efforts.
But who knows, there are already EU folks talking about importing more.
That's pretty "in the here and now".

Again, more of your denial. The point made was that TACO removed the sanctions from both Russia and Iran.

None of your whatabout rationalizations concerning EU purchases will change that.
