Situation on Mirnograd, Shakhovskoy & Dobropolskaya fronts: #RussianArmy continues to expand the buffer zone around Toretske, taking control of one of the trench systems. In addition, in the last four days of January, Russian forces completely recaptured Zatyshok and Sukhetske, and in the first days of February, they secured the surrounding area after combing operations. Moreover, Russian troops continued to advance along the railway line west of Rodysnke.

Hell of an infiltration attempt there. Even this person, who is getting paid to pump the pro Ukrainian narrative, shows Russians controlling Pokrovsk and indeed having advanced beyond it. I prefer credible information to propaganda.

He still claims Ukraine had nothing to do with Nordstream

Note that it shows Ukraine holding key areas in.
Rybar isn't paid? Lawd you are so wise and know so much.

Ukraine had nothing to gain because no gas was flowing through it for just shy of a month. Russia did not have the ability to repair the compressors which were crashed by their allowing hydrates to form in the pipeline.
FACT, only Gazprom had anything to gain. It could then declare force majeure and not pay contract default penalties. It did file claims for insurance for repair expenses right away.
If Ukrainians did it, it was the dumbest move they made.

Oh wow a company filed an insurance claim when an asset was damaged, definite sign of guilt there.
They should investigate all of these companies who file claims in my state when a hurricane hits, maybe they caused the hurricane.

I'm sure that TexAg would have found new compressors at Grainger off the shelf.

That’s dumb.
You can’t equate a hurricane striking the coast with a warehouse catching fire, valuable jewelry being stolen, or a gas pipeline being blown up. No one investigates an act of God. Now they will investigate individual claims if they are suspicious.
Nordstrom was blown up. It wasn’t an act of God. Did Ukraine do it? That’s another question, but it was investigated. It’s way different than a hurricane.

Everyone who bought the Sy Hersh article is clueless. That includes Sean Ryan

Hydrates in the line would not require the compressors to be replaced. Which you know

You were happy to post the Pokrovsk map showing complete Russian control. When I posted the updated map showing that Russia had lost most of Pokrovsk (which you hadn't bothered to show for some reason) you lost your shite.
Russia didn’t lose Pokrovsk though?

Biletskyi’s assessment points to a stalemate, but the real timer isn't just on the battlefield—it’s on the U.S. election calendar. Putin likely won't blink until he gauges the 2026 Midterms. If he senses that Trump might lose political leverage or congressional control, the incentive to negotiate before a potential U.S. policy shift becomes real. Politics in D.C. dictate the peace in Donetsk.

This victim was one of the most powerful and effective members of the Russian military intelligence corps. Second in charge of the GRU. Supervised the drone campaign against Ukrainian civilians. Due to the usual Russian Keystone Cops delays in responding to the reported shooting, he almost bled to death. Which means even if he survives, he won't be of much use going forward. Damn shame.
But think about the planning and surveillance that went into this job. They caught him at his mistress's apartment building without his normal team of security guards who were sent off due to the 'sensitive nature' of the destination.
If they can get this guy, they can get anyone. Just think of the chill this sends to the Russian negotiators meeting with Budanov now. Holy shite.
Note the author points out three of the security guard's names - the Muslim ones. The first-mentioned guard that ignored the call for help and just went to sleep was not named as he was more than likely non-Muslim. He's probably currently enrolled in a Lubyanka course on focusing and memory. What's left of him is anyway...

The Cheka-OGPU and RUcriminal.info have determined that the killer who shot GRU Deputy Chief Vladimir Alekseev entered the building during the night guard shift and opened the intercom with his own key, while his face was completely concealed. It is also beginning to emerge why the general ended up in the house on Volokolamskoye Highway and was without protection.
The suspect in the attempted murder of Alekseev was dressed in an oversized jacket, a hat, and a mask. In this way, he completely hid his face and left no chances of identifying him by appearance or distinguishing features. It was precisely this image that was shown to the building's residents yesterday.
Security forces conducted door-to-door searches until late evening (including in neighboring entrances) and admitted that they had little hope in video footage from cameras. As we wrote earlier, police had complained about the lack of "footage," which is why they now have to proceed "the old-fashioned way"—working through the residential sector.
It is becoming roughly clear why the general ended up in the house on Volokolamskoye without protection. Neighbors describe the family as follows: "The woman is much younger, they have a small child. The woman with the child was seen often, the man—rarely." But the general's official wife is 63 years old, and their children are well over 30. Earlier, sources had evasively stated that this apartment was not the general's permanent residence; he appeared there temporarily, assuming that the conspiracy measures taken would prevent him from being "tracked down" there.
Security in the residential complex where the GRU deputy chief ended up is provided by the private security company Neomax.
It turned out that at the moment of the incident, there was a shift change. The call from the general's neighbors was taken by a young guard. The voice on the phone line reported a knife wound (initially). But despite such an alarming reason, the guard did not investigate, handed over his shift, and went to sleep.
Meanwhile, his two replacements, Shamil and Ramzan, took the elevator to the 24th floor, where the assassination attempt occurred. They crossed paths with the attacker, who was descending on foot. At the scene, the fighters tried to assist the wounded Alekseev and called their supervisor—the shift lead named Abas, who arrived at the location some time later.

The first-mentioned guard that ignored the call for help and just went to sleep was not named as he was more than likely non-Muslim.
