In the country known for corrupt government officials, the government official responsible for corrupting government officials is corrupt.

They just can't help themselves, stealing is the Great Russian Tradition.

quote:

As Moldova approaches a crucial parliamentary election, the Russian official responsible for election interference has reportedly been sacked and replaced. An investigation is said to have been opened into the theft of funds designated for vote-rigging.
quote:

The VChK-OGPU Telegram channel reports that Dmitry Milyutin, the deputy head of the Fifth Service of the FSB, has been removed "based on the results of an organisational inspection," but in reality for failing to rig the Moldovan presidential election in Russia's favour.
quote:

The election, which was held in two rounds concluding on 3 November 2024, was won by incumbent Maia Sandu, with a pro-Russian candidate winning 44.65% of the votes.
quote:

The election was marred by overt and obvious Russian interference, including Russia paying to fly in Moldovan passport-holders to vote against Sandu. The FSB's Fifth Service is responsible for covert Russian activities in former Soviet republics.
quote:

According to VChK-OGPU, Milyutin was responsible for covert activities, including interference campaigns, in Belarus, Moldova and the Baltic States. However, it appears that money that was meant to have been used in this campaign may have been stolen.
quote:

The channel reports: "Dmitry Milyutin is considered to be completely under the control of the former head of the Fifth Service, Sergey Beseda, who left his post in the summer of 2024."
quote:

"The new head of the Fifth Service, Alexei Komkov, immediately launched an internal investigation into the misuse of funds by employees of the Fifth Service in Moldova."
quote:

"[Milyutin's] post has been taken by Albert Stepygin, who previously headed the Second Service of the FSB's Internal Security Directorate (which develops FSB Central Administration employees; it was previously headed by Alexei Komkov, the current head of the Fifth Service)."
quote:

According to VChK-OGPU, "Stepygin is a long-time friend of Komkov, which explains his appointment. In recent years, Stepygin has been involved in a number of scandals."
quote:

"He was implicated in the redistribution of the funeral market, in the case of journalist Ivan Golunov, who was framed for drug possession, and was suspected of having ties to the Taganka organised crime group and of helping lawyer Yaroslav Bogdanov, who was involved in illegal dealings, flee Russia." (The reference to "the redistribution of the funeral market" likely concerns Russia's highly lucrative cemetery mafia, which is booming due to the war in Ukraine.)

Wanting Ukraine to continue to deteriorate Russia's military capability IS putting America First, silly boy.

You could see it that way. I think that's incorrect for a number of reasons, but it is a legitimate thought process at least.

We knew Russia was no threat to us before this war. This war has only solidified that position (even in the first couple of weeks, before we really "deteriorated" anything)

I would rather put billions into our own country than play some zero sum game with a country we could annihilate with a swiftness, or worse case that would just set off global geothermal annihilation anyway where everyone would be fricked regardless.

And no one come with some stupid "the money is already in the defense budget" bullshite. We need to balance the budget and a.huge part of that is reducing the defense budget.

IT IS NOT AMERICA ONLY.

We simply have to reduce our expenditures. An easy way to do that is to stop funding countries that aren't that important to us.

Though I will say in terms of funding the conflicts involving each country currently, it's pretty clear we should fund Ukraine over Israel even though Israel is exponentially more important than Ukraine ever will be to US interests.

Maupin is a communist. I guess that it takes one to know one or in this case what are the origins.

Ever find it strange how literally no one will defend you on that comment? I've seen other people call you out for making shite up in other threads too

Just a complete bullshitter who is mad that he got called out. The only thing saving you in this thread is that you're a brainwashed neocon with the same opinion as the majority.

Do you find it ironic that everyone of these Ukraine Firsters that support this war and beg for it to continue have either never served in the military or any combat zone?

Damn, it all must have been a fever dream. If I had known that, I wouldda gone all John Wick and shite.

This Trotskyite horseshite that you keep trotting out has always been highly amusing. So now there is another idiot website that you believe in. You need to learn to think at some point. If conservatives that aren't on board with Trump are Trotskyites then logically Trump is Stalin, and you are a Stalinist. Are you sure you want to go there? Though I could easily see you being a good little Stalinist given your lack of ability to think.

Poll wise the majority of Americans don’t support US involvement in Ukraine. It is what it is.

Modi working over Putin for even further discounts, meaning less money for the Chinese. Pretty soon the Russians will be paying the Indians to take their oil.
