So we're still outraged about a story from a website that says the NFL is giving the Patriots performance enhancing water?

It's not the truth of the allegation, but the seriousness of the charges.

I don't give a GODDAMN if it is true. I want EVERYONE to quake in fear of offending ME!!!! Turn this shite around on these commies.

I know it won't happen but I would love to see most if not all of NRG stadium leave for the halftime performance. Just go down to the concession areas during halftime. That would make far more of an impact on Lady Gaga and other liberal performers like her than booing will. Lady Gaga will look at booing as a sort of victory, like she's getting to them.

With that said, I would rather see the crowd boo than do nothing at all. But how awesome would it be to get some sort of movement together inside the stadium where Lady Gaga gets to perform in front of a near empty NRG stadium during halftime. Talk about an ego blow and never mind the sponsors would be furious as they are paying big money for no one to watch their commercials.

That's the only way we can send a message to them.

I will never understand why the NFL wants to let politics into their sport and their business. Their ratings have tanked for a reason.

frick the liberals running the NFL right now.

I remember when NASCAR tried to do something similar to what the NFL has done. Now tracks are half full during a race.

Just let the sport be a sport. I watch sports to get away from the political shite and everyday problems. Let me watch the game without any political messages involved.

As someone who falls into the "former NASCAR fan" category the NFL is on that path but is not there yet. NASCAR basically turned their backs on the working class southern fan that got NASCAR to where it was in the early 2000's. NASCAR essentially thought that they had outgrown the working class fan and were too good for them. They wanted the Hollywood type and metrosexual urban guys who had money. What they didn't realize at the time was that to those groups NASCAR was always going to be a fade, once the fade died off those people jumped off very quickly.

Dale Earnhardt's death no doubt escalated the decline but NASCAR could've survived big time post Earnhardt if they had remembered what got them where they were. Instead they forgot and we have seen what has happened, really what NASCAR has done should be required textbook readings in MBA programs about how to destroy a thriving business.

I actually hope this happens just so the NFL can feel the heat for awhile.

I hate how politicized sports / music has become.

Just play the game and play your fricking instruments and shut the frick up about everything else.

I mean athletes and musicians have a right to voice their opinions, but there is a time and place for it. During the national anthem, during a game or during the halftime performance of the Super Bowl is not the time and place for it.

Most of us here have enough common sense that we don't make our political views known at our workplace and for these people the stage and the field is their workplace.

Well the commentators have gotten their marching orders.

I saw Namath the other day on Cavuto, and when asked about Gaga making political statements in her show or others protesting at the game he gave some canned answer on how it's great that we live in a country where people who feel strongly about something have the right to protest.

Pathetic.

A good way to convince everyone on earth that you're a giant queer is to be bothered by this at all.
