You are discussing moral culpability. I am discussing legal culpability. Any time someone who is fully within their rights like Rittenhouse is confronted by someone who violates their rights , the moral culpability is primarily with the aggressor. If it’s a “ division “ it’s 99/1 %. Across every culture since time immemorial, we understand the natural and instinctive right to defend your life. There is no such right to violently attack someone who is within their legal rights. There is no moral equivalency here.

Opposing trying someone for murder when they didn't commit murder has nothing to do with what you think is a gotcha.
If they wanted to charge him with breaking curfew, then that's what they should have done.
