yes. he is so shockingly bad.

he's really digging himself a hole.

I especially liked the angle about Rosenbaum masking himself to protect against covid because this was "pre-vaccine".

That was one outrageously stupid statement after another. Hard to even keep track of the not just dumb things, but utterly idiotic ones.

it's by lottery... and I'm not completely opposed to it

the theory is it keeps all jurors as attentive as possible as they can all still be selected to actually decide the case instead of knowing beforehand

an alternate theoretically would zone out more easily than someone who knows they are 1 of the chosen 12

that way... if an alternate is called in as 1 of the 12... they may not know as much as they should b/c s/he zoned out

yea i would def accidentally zone out at some parts knowing I was an alternate juror. on the flip side I would be more upset believing I would be chosen if I wasnt chosen.

A prosecutor lying in the closing statements should result in a mistrial. That's not the way our system should work.

18 people are seated for the trial. After closing arguments 12 of them are drawn by lottery to decide the case.

They have 18 jurors watching the trial.

Tomorrow morning they will pick 6 names and they will be separated from the other 12 and used as backup if needed.

Lying about law in rebuttal should have some consequences.

I really hope someone on that Jury has held a rifle.

The statement about not having right/left handed rifles/AR's is insane.

I guess I don't use left/right handed interchangeable reels either when I'm fishing.

Don't forget the defense demonstrated it in the courtroom with Kyle's rifle.

When huffpo posts an article with this, it's time to end this charade.

quote:

But some of the prosecution’s own witnesses — and a wealth of video — largely supported his claims of self-defense.

Perhaps in recognition of that, prosecutors asked the judge to let the jury consider several lesser charges if they acquit him on the original counts. Schroeder agreed to do so Monday.
