Where is HEB? Or where can Boar's Head be found in Louisiana?

That's a really stupid policy for a grocery store chain during a time period when grocery stores are having extreme difficulty hiring people.

Kroger Co. will eliminate paid emergency leave for unvaccinated employees who contract COVID-19 and require some unvaccinated employees on the company’s health care plan to pay a $50 monthly surcharge, the company said Tuesday.
Good luck with that.

HEB is based out of San Antonio area. The major local grocer in the southern half of TX. They are making their way up into the DFW area. They have a better Whole Foods version called Central Market, that has been in the dfw area for a bit now.

Rumor has it Mr. Butts (HEB founder), and Mr. Walton (Walmart) were not fans of each other.

At a time when grocery chains, and many others, are having a terrible time finding and keeping employees, these moronic 'decisions' will only hurt the company bottom line and their customers.

Company I work for is assessing $700 for me and $700 for my spouse for not being vaxed. We own a small business and are just going to run our insurance through there so that when I quit after I get my bonus in March we have consistent coverage.

That is of course unless they fire me and the other 20% (3,000 people) who remain unvaxed in January as has been threatened. Then I'll just get unemployment as long as I can from them and help run our business without getting a salary.

When will someone file a lawsuit for discrimination. I’m sure a brilliant lawyer can come up with something that may go over in court and at least cause these businesses a headache to make them think twice about passing this crap.
