I’ve been waiting for someone to start a Kobach thread.

That's not good at all.

Trump had no business backing a horse in that race.

I voted for him. It is very close. Waiting on my county, Johnson, to post. When it does that will be who wins. Should be soon

Why not? Republicans are out preforming the Democrats by 120k votes. Whoever wins the primary will win the general

Lol bro. The Republican winner is going to win the general.

Trump endorsed a guy running against the incumbent in a primary. If Kobach wins that’s YUGE for Trump.

CNN's 10 person panel to psychoanalyze a Kansas Rep Governors primary, and rooting against every candidate endorsed by DJT.

Exactly. The lying media has been trying to make people think Republicans don’t like Trump and are running away from it.

Trump is going to help a guy beat the incumbent in a primary. That’s some big shite.

You don't know shite about Kobach and Kansas politics.

Sam Brownback was their previous Governor and he was basically Jindal to them and left office in a bit of a disgrace. The state GOP is not all that popular there.

Kobach is very unpopular there and the votes he's getting there are from the hardcore base. Think of Jeff Landry on this board and the reaction he gets here.

It's a very real possibility that a JBE/Vitter scenario could happen there.

He endorsed him for loyalty reasons, not what's best for his party and who has the best chance of winning.

The incumbent Governor actually praised Trump big time in the last few days and has had nothing but good things to say about him in the last few months.

Trump endorsed Kobach to repay loyalty from the 2016 campaign. That's it.

I just noticed there are 7 people in the race. Does that trigger a runoff if one candidate does not get 50% of the vote?

Yeah, I was wrong because election results showed that I was wrong and that's that.

But it's right now and I'm looking at polls and fundraising numbers and Kobach is way too risky even for a state like Kansas.

Why do you think Trump stayed out of the Tennessee primary when a big time Trumpkin like Diane Black was running?
