I always thought there was something to it(WMD), mainly because my BIL who was on the ground in Iraq said all the parts were there just not assembled.
Drugs are not the reason.....250 metric tons is but a drop compared to the 5,000+ metric tons coming in through Mexico.
If the US bombs or puts boots on the ground look as to where. If it is at Maracaibo, we are there to secure and "steal" the oil. We sure as shite ain't about to send 15000 troops over 8000 + foot jungle covered mountains to get to Caracas where 4 million people live.

Back in WWI the Lusitania was not carrying ammunition from neutral USA to combatant UK. The cargo in the Lusitania included the ingredients needed to manufacture field artillery high explosive.
