Can you elaborate how he slow played?
Can you also provide in detail what he should’ve done differently?
Declined test kits from WHO.
Restricted states from developing their own tests for weeks.

Shockingly another liberal who wants to use this disease for political gain
There is literally nothing beneath the left. Nothing at all. I can't even conceptualize of something they could surprise me with in terms of how low they can go

You don’t remember the jokes on here about how Ted Kennedy’s car had killed more Americans than the coronavirus?
You took your cues from President Trump’s arrogance about the situation.

Wait, it was the WH who declined the kits?? I thought it was cdc officials?

Quit being hysterical. The lunacy you people are exhibiting over what equates to a sinus infection, is rather silly.

the contamination of the initial kits is so unfortunate.
So we have two different excuses for the test kits.
The first one (that came a week late) was is that an Obama regulation kept them from using the kits without FDA approval. Now, the excuse is that the kits somehow got contaminated.
I think they really need to float one more excuse to confuse everyone so they disregard the whole thing and give up because they can't figure out which excuse it really is (or consider the fact that the real answer is -- non of them).

A review of the White House response to the Coronavirus outbreak.... IN JANUARY, before most were paying attention.
In **2018** President Trump established a National Biodefense Strategy specifically to improve the speed of action for any biological risk to U.S. Citizens. LINK
Following the initial reports from China; and anticipating multiple agency aspects of U.S. government would need a unified command structure; on January 30th President Trump assembled a unified task force to coordinate all response efforts across the totality of government.
The task force is coordinated through the National Security Council. It is composed of subject matter experts from White House and several United States Government agencies, and it includes some of the Nation’s foremost experts on infectious diseases.
At the time the task force was established, January 30th, President Trump signed a presidential proclamation, using his authority pursuant to Section 212(f) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, temporarily suspending the entry into the United States of foreign nationals.
The travel restrictions were targeted toward those who would most likely pose a risk of transmitting the 2019 novel coronavirus.
To establish protocols, build out the larger response framework, and initiate proactive coronavirus measures. Immediately following the travel restrictions, January 30th HHS Secretary Alex Azar declared a nationwide public health emergency.
Using the authorities created by President Trump; and in accordance with the declaration, at 5:00 p.m. EST; Sunday, February 2nd, the U.S government implemented temporary measures to increase detection & containment of the coronavirus proactively. Effective February 2nd.
Any U.S. citizen returning to the United States who was in Hubei Province in the previous 14 days was/is subject to up to 14 days of mandatory quarantine.
Any U.S. citizen returning to the United States who was in the rest of Mainland China within the previous 14 days was put through proactive entry health screening at a select number of ports of entry, and up to 14 days of monitored self-quarantine.
All foreign nationals, other than U.S. citizens and permanent residents, who traveled in China within the prior 14 days were denied entry into the United States.
The temporary entry ban continues through today.
In response to these proactive measures, Democrats and the national media declared that President Trump and his administration were "overreacting" to the issue.
Accusing President Trump of "manufacturing a crisis", where no crisis exists.
The attacks against President Trump for being too proactive with national security measures in response to the possible risks of the Coronavirus were 26 days ago.
Now the same voices claim President Trump did not do enough.

A top federal scientist sounded the alarm about what he feared was contamination in an Atlanta lab where the government made test kits for the coronavirus, according to sources familiar with the situation in Atlanta.
Driving the news: The Trump administration has ordered an independent investigation of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention lab, and manufacturing of the virus test kits has been moved, the sources said.

I think the cdc has a lot of discretion over how to operate an outbreak plan.

So now the most laser-focused, business-oriented and results-driven President in our lifetime should be excused from letting the CDC flounder?
Ok.
Ok.

Yea, yea, I saw that. They don't know how it got contaminated -- but they were sure it was going to work.
Just like they were sure with the first one they made.
Why didn't they use the WHO test until they were sure they had a test that worked??
No way in hell they're going to use the one-world- government test, right?
