I'm thinking the same thing. I've always viewed Senator as a more prestigious position. I could see someone doing it for a few states if they had aspirations to become POTUS but LA isn't one of them and Kennedy doesn't have a shot in hell of ever coming close to that office.
If he genuinely wants to help clean up this mess then more power to him.

And he’ll win. He’s nationally way more popular than JBE now in one term as senator. Not to mention he has a much better handle on our budget and how to straighten it out

So he'll be a one-and-done Senator? Hmmmm.... Treasurer to Senator to Governor in the blink of an eye? Whoa boy...
