Exactly.

Thank you.

That's the problem.

That you measure the success of a POTUS by how much he irritates "the other side."

So now the quality of leadership is measured as a troll contest.

Congratulations. That's the most childish, idiotic thing ever, and it's a textbook example of what I'm talking about.

No, pissing you off is a nice lagniappe. What I DO measure success is how the border is controlled, like we want, and how everyone KNEW it could be, if we only did something about it. Trump did that, and should be given proper praise.

Or taking down the ridiculous they/them tranny flags at our embassies and military facilities.

Stuff your msnbc news probably spins as being negative, or not report it at all,

No, that's not what you said.

You said exactly what I said you idiot populists say, and what your actions and words indicate that you really feel.

quote:

Trump did that, and should be given proper praise.

Sure. No problem. I have no problem giving credit where credit is due. The difference between you and I is that I issue blame AND credit where and when it is due. You mental children give no blame and all credit no matter what the issue or circumstance.

Trump's doing the right thing with the border, the military, he's acting like he's going to do the right thing regarding lawfare and government waste, although I'm starting to lose confidence that he'll follow through effectively on those or whether that's just red meat for the base...but if he does, sure, I'll be one of the first ones to raise my hand congratulating him on it.

But he also continues to spend far too much money, his tariffs are asinine, some of his extreme pushing to expand Executive Powers is troubling (not because of what I'm afraid he will do with them, but because of the obvious problems with future administrations), some of his foreign policy maneuvers are starting to look personal rather than being in the country's best interest, etc.

But for a moment, let's go back to this:

quote:

No, pissing you off is a nice lagniappe.

Even though it factors in much more than that and we both know it, let's pretend for a moment that it didn't. How old are you? Eight?

When did we become so immature as a society that pissing someone off became part of the equation at all?

And I'm not remotely pissed off, btw. I knew Trump was a completely mixed bag when I voted for him. Not that he hasn't surprised me...overseeing the implementation of textbook socialism with the federal government buying into private corporations was a surprise...I'm not even sure Bernie Sanders would go that far. But I knew he'd do some things I agreed with and others that i wouldn't, and the other side would do nothing that I agreed with (like, literally nothing).

But the fact that the other choice was a non-starter doesn't mean I have to act like everything Trump does is great. It's not all great. And anybody who says it is is simply a cult member moron.

This just adds to the Trump fatigue that is starting to build only 11 months into his 2nd term. If it continues, it will have an affect on the mid-terms.

Look at you! Tapping away a short novel on a political board on Christmas morning!

I know what I said and meant every word. And the part of pissing YOU off was the last thing I said. Not 1st, not 2nd. And, per usual with YOUR KIND, you omit the substance of my post, the relevant remarks and then charry pick what you wish were true to make a false narrative.

You've made up your mind, and trying to discuss or reason with you is futile.

While cutting waste and raising more revenue. Yes, Congress can (and will) outspend any amount of money raised via taxes, tariffs and other ways of taking our money. Trump can't stop that. It's baked in to how our system works.

What's your point?

No, that's things they DO so, to claim it's a tax hike.

Jesus, the stubbornness and childishness of the Left is insufferable.

Its literally a tax.

In The Merriam-Webster Dictionary, tax is defined as “a charge, usually of money, imposed by authority on persons or property for public purposes”.

Yup. Everything seems to be about dunking on the other side now. I'm tired of it.

Doesn't affect everyone. Anyone who doesn't buy a tariffed item isn't getting 'taxed'.

Again, insufferable and childish.

It won’t hurt my feelings if they close it. If they never have another concert there it’s no skin off my nose. Maybe we can rename USAID to TrumpAID?

You dont have a choice in many cases. Many of your "American made" products have foreign components. You would never know.

because if we are pissing of the leftards, then that tells us that we are cleaning things up. If they are bitching and crying, then we aren't doing anything to make changes. Since we believe 180 degrees from one another on most all major policy...this is a very good litmus test to see if what we are doing is working.
