And how do you categorize the money Trump receives from Sheldon Adelson and Steve Wynn and those guys?

Delusional.
Perhaps I should've been more specific. Trump can call on his base to crowd fund large parts of his campaign. DeSantis doesn't have that kind of support yet and has to lean on the RNC donor crowd.
If you want the support of the RNC leadership group you need to play by their rules.
Its as simple as that.

Are you saying that only people who are independently wealthy should run for office, because they’re the only ones who can’t be bought?
We should just do away with it all, and have kings and queens again, I guess.
Nowhere in my post did I say that.
But you cant win in modern American politics without money and on the right the only places you can get enough to win are through a grassroots donor base like Trump or the RNC/CoC/MIC large donors.
In order to access door #2 you have to agree to play by their rules. That means no talking out against Ukraine/war de jour, it means no real cutbacks on immigration and no MAGA style reimagining of the current globalist business landscape.

Do you think he turns down money from large donors if they are willing? Absolutely not.
But he's also not leveraged the same way he would if he didn't have much of his campaign accounted for using his base.
When you are broke the bank has the leverage. When you have money the loan rates are much better because the risk is lower and you have the ability to operate without them if needed. Same principal applies here.

So Trump, a liberal billionaire, can fleece the working class while claiming to fight for them...and you see that as a positive?

He of course did not, at all.

According to the NYT 75% of his campaign was funded through small donations.
NYT - 75% of Trump Campaign Funded via Small Donations
DeSantis is currenting sitting under 10%.

Getting $100 from middle class voters so he doesn't have to make deals with K Street does not equate to fleecing the working class, but by all means continue to gas light.

Spin it however you want. I'll continue to point and laugh at Trump and his Loyalists.
