No.

This is retarded. There is currently a minimum age and it is perfectly compatible.

There is more than one concern, but my primary concern is the use of the language assault rifle, which is rife for abuse.

Many times I carried what a lot of people today would say is an assault rifle as a 10 year old hunting with my Dad.

I choose not to indulge that slippery slope and not to vote for anyone who does, if I wish.

Looking like Cagle/Kemp vs. Abrams in November.

Cagle vote is on name recognition only.

Word on the street is that he did not run for governor a few years back because of a skeleton in the closet. I expect that will get big time play if he makes it to the general against a black woman.

And because the other candidates are kinda clowns. He’s the #2 in a state that has had great economic growth. Of course he’d be the favorite.

Williams couldn't win a single county. Guess the "only Trump can win a Trump style campaign" thing is true.

You don’t expect the ajc to sit on its laurels when the state’s first female and first AA governor is at stake, do you?

Hard to imagine he'd make another high profile go if that was true, although I remember the rumors. Also heard it was health related or something.

Cagle vs. Abrams may be a race where some prior skeleton that was smoothed over (affair or something) may be irrelevant. She's got issues too.

Other than his dumbass NRA ploy Cagle is just a boring "his turn" candidate. Deal was a very "meh" candidate too so if he can just keep that going it'll be fine.

I'm sure they'll try but i don't think it'll be enough. Even a lot of progressives aren't that enthusiastic about her.

We should just be thankful Jason Carter didn't run.

Your clueless. Almost all Republican candidates besides Cagle are Trump like . Including Kemp who did win some counties.

My gut is that Democrats will pour energy into this Gov race but it'll be wasted on a far-left candidate with image and personal issues who will lose with little November drama.

Hope I'm right.

Actually it was only about a 56k difference. The difference was 285k 8 years ago, with a 258k difference during the general lection. If you assume Dems pickup more votes again during the general, then it’s going to be pretty close. Cagle may only win by a couple of points.

While Kemp's commercials are cringeworthy as frick, I'll still vote for him in the run-off.

Kemp on medical marijuana:
quote:

Secretary Kemp: I wouldn’t want to speak to what another state is doing, especially California; it would be hard for me to comprehend most of what they’re doing. From my perspective, that’s one of the things that concerns me, is that by legalizing it on a state level, you could be putting your citizens in a jeopardizing situation where they think they are following state law but can be prosecuted for violating federal law. I have great concern with that. I’m certainly not in the camp of being pro-recreational marijuana.

I do think though, from a medicinal standpoint, I am very open-minded about that. I am very supportive of what our legislature has done in the past, and we’ll continue to keep taking a look at that. I know there are many parents in Georgia who are using that medicinal marijuana with good results. As a parent myself, I understand that if that’s the only remedy you have, you’re going to use it if your child is sick or is having seizures or anything else. So I’m certainly open to that as we move forward.
