She must be imprisoned for life. Commence CNN special panel. LINK

quote:

The US Office of Special Counsel announced Tuesday that White House aide Kellyanne Conway violated the Hatch Act on two occasions by "advocating for and against candidates" in last year's Alabama Senate special election.
In a new report, the OSC special counsel, Henry Kerner, pointed to Conway's TV interviews conducted in her "official capacity" in November and December of last year. The agency said Conway "impermissibly mixed official government business with political views about candidates in the Alabama special election."
One of the two interviews was on CNN's "New Day," and the second was on Fox News' "Fox & Friends."

If memory serves, was not Al Gore shaking down people for money inside of the White House and he used the whole "no controlling legal authority" as his excuse and got away with it?

What an absolute joke of an investigation

Good luck with that Dems. They could probably prosecute every member of the Obama administration on that one.

Worth mentioning up front that this has nothing to do with Mueller's probe. This is the regular U.S. Office of Special Counsel, which handles whistleblowers, Hatch Act accusations. Basically a lot of HR/personnel functions for the federal government.

Almost never, just like the Logan Act and FARA.....but the Democrats will squeal about how egregious this is as will their press lap dogs.

Most every person that ever worked in the executive branch (Presidents excluded, obviously) has violated the Hatch Act over the years. Give me a break.

Don't think anyone's proposing to prosecute Conway. Just calling it out.

And most rules that apply to federal employees/appointees exempt precisely two federal officers--the president and the VP. They are politicians and operate under much looser rules regarding gifts, fundraising, partisan political activity, etc.

Pursuing specious bullshite while the entire city is rife with open corruption is appalling. This a-hole has a real tin ear.

The amount of people in this thread who think this had anything to do with Mueller, even after being told that it doesn't, is laughably predictable.

i am new here but people appear to be fricking retarded.

Not only has this nothing to do with Mueller, the punishment is just administrative. She faces no legal problems. It is the equivalent of wearing the wrong color socks in the NFL.

eta: include me in the retarded ones.

So basically this is a "Don't do that again, take your slap on the wrist" sort of thing. As in... who really cares?
