College isn’t right for everyone, but if you grew up hearing that you have to go to college otherwise you won’t get a good job, then you think you’re wrong for choosing another path. More parents should have stepped in and let their children know there are alternatives and that doesn’t mean you’re less than someone who does go to college.

However, I do believe the loans were a scam concocted by the government and universities which subsequently crippled generations’ to comes ability to climb the economic ladder in this country and grab a piece of the American pie.

Having a student loan is a choice made by an adult.
One who we declare is old enough to die for their country, but not old enough to buy booze.
We have strange ideas about who is an "adult" in this country.

Most of the people dealing with student debt ARE paying taxes and ARE working in their field of study... the loan payments prevent them from saving, buying a house, etc.
Even so, what does that have to do with them not paying back the money they borrowed?
An issue cannot get more clear than this. It's 1+1=2.
They borrowed the money. They need to pay it back.
There's no fricking nuance here.
Jesus Christ on a cracker. No wonder the second amendment gets twisted in to pretzels.

Y’all are crying about paying off loans for educating people to work???? Where’s the outcry for the biggest scam of all? Waaaay bigger than student debt, and literally billions and billions and billions each year are stolen from me and you and used to pay perfectly healthy people to sit on their butts at home and leach their existence off of hard working Americans. It’s not “Pay to Play”…. It’s “Pay to Lay”. Lay around and have more babies to get more off of you and me.
You wanna see this country get better? Cut the welfare state by 90%, get manufacturers back in this country, cut income tax by half, and get us energy independent.

first of all, let's stop acting like middle class would be paying it off.
You think the Rich will be paying it ?
Naw , they will just pass those 'costs' onto the products/services that they sell to the Middle Class.

The middle class absolutely would have skin in it. Absolutely would.
What about the rest of us that paid ours off?? What do we get? Tell you what.. I owe less on my home than a lot of these student loans.
Cancel my mortgage by paying it off if you are going to cancel student loans. Same thing. If I didn’t pay my loans and paid for my house instead… I’d get canceled debt and a zero balance.
So pay off the mortgages of people who paid their student loans up to the amount they borrowed.
So my wife and I didn’t take out any student loans for ourselves. We didn’t take out any student loans for our kids’ schooling and they owed nothing after graduation. We sacrificed A LOT to do that.
We paid off our mortgage a year ago.
Do we get anything from Joe?
