If you are a NeverTrump Republican, there are two main parties that are responsible for his success in the primary:
1) Jen Bush/Right to Rise: They spent hundreds of millions going after other candidates besides Trump. Possibly the worst campaign strategy in modern history outside of Hillary.
2) John Kasich: His relunctance to withdraw allowed him to basically run interference for Trump. He pulled votes away from Cruz & Rubio and prevented both of them from gaining enough momentum for one of them to take him on one of one.
Kasich was one of the biggest clowns of 2016
