I honestly don’t know much about this case but what are the reasonings for trying him with 1st degree murder and as an adult?

Anthony will be tried as an adult, since Texas is a concurrent jurisdiction state, according to Capital B. The laws allow prosecutors to charge minors, typically 16 or 17 years old, as adults with certain crimes.

Thanks. Isn’t 1st degree premeditated? Seems like a prosecutorial reach. What is their reasoning there? Nothing about this sounded premeditated (I’m not saying I don’t think he shouldn’t have been charged).

There’s no “first-degree murder” in Texas.

The reason the ANTIFAS and BLM s are running wild and the Free Palestine idiots is there are no real consequences. Light enough of them up, and it will amaze you how fast it will stop.

There will be no riots. This is open and shut.
One could bet the farm against this statement. Albeit I hope it's true.
Dallas and Houston have idiot mayors and "judges" and will gladly let their cities burn.

Will be interesting to see how Texas handles rioters.
Well the prog Austin DA charged ol boy for trying to get through protestors then shooting one of the protestors who was trying to get in his car.

That's the sad thing about the black community. The grifters come into town, give the parents some false hope, dupe them, steal their money then leave. It's a cycle as old as time.

This wasn't premeditated.
He brought a knife AND put himself into a contentious situation- neither by accident nor by ignorance.
How is that not premeditated?

He stated that's his fear/prediction.
We saw it with George Floyd.
It's a legit concern.

I never said self defense was in play. In some cases just bringing a deadly weapon into the fight could be premeditated. I was just saying second degree is much easier arguement.

There’s no “first degree murder” or “second degree murder” in Texas.

There was no rioting in Houston for Floyd during the summer of love. Most Texans don’t even know about this case.

Every state allows prosecutors to charge defendants younger than 18 as adults in homicide cases. Most have a cutoff at 16 years of age.
