Yep, which is why Nancy keeps saying "impeached forever" with her irritating teeth clicking...

So, next year, about this time, will she be "yeah, he was reelected, but just remember, he was still impeached forever"? Will they try to impeach him a second time? Hell... after this goes down in spectacular fashion in the senate, will they try again this year?

What President is she talking about? Trump's impeachment is not criminal, there are no crimes included.

Obstruction of congress is not a crime.

Abuse of the powers specifically delegated to POTUS by the US Constitution is not a crime.

And Hurt the DimProgFilth feefee's and their Anti-American agenda is not a crime either.

She lost me right here:

quote:

“The president is charged with high crimes and misdemeanors

Calling it a high crime and misdemeanor does not make it so.

High Crimes and Misdemeanors is a ridiculously vague term. I think we should have an explicit list of offenses that are "impeachable".

If they think they can use it to keep him from filing a vacancy on the SCOTUS, I would imagine she will...

Don't need a next step for that. That's this step.

This step is just during the trial. You bet they will go for a block after the trial stating the trial verdict was just political, showed no real effort by the Republicans to investigate, and "OMB is still guilty of offenses as seen in the House investigation"

I keep fricking telling yall. That was what this whole thing was about. To stop judicial nominees so they can drag this process on as long as possible.

But they can't We have historical precedent going back to Andrew Johnson's impeachment trial where a federal judge was confirmed during the trial.

I'm sure that's one of the factors that led to this decision to impeach, but it's not the only one.

Trump has been like a wrecking ball to their kickback schemes. They have them worked into everything from healthcare to foreign aid. Trump's first priority, it seems, has been to destroy the kompromat that these idiot politicians have spread all around the place in order to enrich themselves.

I'd say that factors pretty heavily too.

A lot of that is a self fulfilling prophecy IMHO.

The establishment on both sides of the aisle started taking shots at Trump as a candidate, and escalated it, under the belief that Trump would cut their underhanded deals and try to turf them out.

And their attempts to do that have explicitly created the conditions under which Trump has been able to do just that.

Agree 100%.

The Trump presidency behaves like a mirror. Everything that they rail against is something they themselves brought into being through their own reckless behavior.
